Welcome to the WOOF Player Awards for season 2015, Round 3, Hawthorn v Western Bulldogs.

There are two awards that you can vote on once the game is completed.

Voting closes each Tuesday at 8.00pm.

The first award is for the Joe Marmo Medal for the best players on the ground.

There are 4 votes allocated and it's a 4 for the best and of course 3, 2 and 1.

The second award is for the Ron James Medal for the best 2 pups on the ground.

2 Votes allocated - 2 being for the best pup and 1 for the runner-up
Remember the cut off age for a pup is 22 as at the 1st of January, 2015.

I note that almost everybody's votes have been for players who are eligible for both awards, ie. are under 22 as at 1/1/2015. Now that's encouraging for the future.

I didn't see the game but I'm surprised to see Talia in the votes given Roughead kicked 7

He battled really well given the volume of ball coming in, and how well directed it was. He also wasn't the only player to be on Roughead as he piled on the goals.

Probably the only 4 who looked like they wanted to compete for 4 quarters. Murphy was another but his poor disposal cost him votes.

4. Talia - he is really staying within his limitations and he is improving every time he plays.
3. Boyd - he is starting to take strong marks. He still needs to use his big body better to move defenders but it is coming.
2. Dahl - kept putting his head over the ball for 4 quarters while we were getting smashed.
1. Jong - I love this kid. Provided run when we were starved for space.
