12 clearnaces too, when they dominated that area too!

It's good to be proven wrong after questioning their form.

Yep. Piggy even qualified his hope the Dogs would win by saying 'I'm not barracking but sometimes its good to see young exciting teams beat the favourites'. Or words to that effect. And i couldnt believe how effusive Bomber Thompson was in praising us and our pressure. He even said we're a good side. Coming from Bomber, who I've never heard say anything positive about us before, it was high praise.

When someone like Gil McLaughlin tells them to want us to win, they will, I have no doubt of that. :)

I didn't really notice the commentators being pro Sydney either and as you said I think Dunstall was probably leaning our way with praise during the game. Sydney looked to be the favourites going into the last quarter and Barry Hall thought that they would win but I thought everyone including Thompson who is an awful commentator was full of praise for us when we gutted out the win.

4. Picken. Best game for a week.
3. Murphy. Hurt and clearly distressed he refused to come of the ground and continued to turn the tide after a few nervous moments.
2. Wood. Good for most of the game he pokes through the winner and makes a couple of match saving plays in the last two minutes as well.
1. Talia. Kept Buddy out of it for most of the game.

Yeah, but there was this "feeding the chickens" quality that came into their voices every time they praised Sydney that was just not present when we deserved some praise. I feel we were damned with faint praise at times while they got really enthusiastic at every little thing proven Swan's stars did, like Goodes patting one of his team mates on the bottom, for example.

Agree they really wanted us to win. They didn't think we would (neither did I) but they were riding us home in the last quarter.

4. Wood - kept Kieren Jack quiet who was well suited to the conditions, and finished the game with possibly the best few minutes ever played
3. Picken - contested animal
2. Dahlhaus - dynamic
1. Bontempelli - kept it going our way all day

2. Dahlhaus

4. Wood (Clutch moments at critical stages at both ends of the ground).
3. Murphy (provided drive and was the only person on the ground playing like it was a dry day)
2. Picken (Conditions suited him before the game and he didn't let us down)
1. Talia (That's Kennedy, Walker and now Franklin, confidence must be sky high)

2. Talia (as above)
1. Dahl (courageous and industrious again, having a great start to the year).

4. Murphy (649 yards gained, eff Disposals 79%, captaincy 100%)
3. Picken (sheer hard work, the teams engine room on the day).
2. Dahlhaus (in and under like Libba Senior)
1. Wood (Should be able to include the entire backline here, if not the entire team)

2 - Dahlhaus
1 - Bontempelli (Class act, always)
