Anyone getting along early to watch the women play?

I would if I was in Melbourne, at least I have the internet.
I'm all for a Women's comp and I see no reason why they couldn't curtain raise before the main game. Have there own fixture so it can be like the reserves all those years ago.
Get rid of that crappy Americanised rubbish before the grand final and have the girls play.
At least the women can have a pathway to professional football if they what to.

I have a commitment on Sunday night, so this might be the only game I see. Definitely keen to get along.

Really like what's have women's footy nationwide. Saw the first one live and watched last years on AFL.com and love the level of skill and aggression. Rapt that there could be a national league by 2017. Anything that could take the place of some of the rubbish pre game would be a blessing.

For anyone who hasn't given it a look, do yourself a favour....

If the AFL are serious about boosting the profile of the AFL Womens Comp , this weekends game should have been part of the Channel 7 broadcast

Tough game for Captain Steph Chiocci and the girls , it might not have been a big score or an open contest but some great skills on display , big games for Katie Brennan and Heather Anderson , Emma King was strong in the Ruck , Kaitlyn Ashmore had some great passages of play , Darcy Vescio and Moanna Hope are solid targets up front , a lot to look forward to in the next game at Etihad
