I'm tipping an Easton Wood love-in. Reckon it's a fair chance they will ask Bevo how he thinks Tom Boyd is tracking. (Cue response about him playing his role and making a strong contest).

Makes for better watching then our last coach. I just wish there wasn't half the interviews wasted EVERY time on post season 2014 questions........

Yep, there is nothing new to be added to the post-season issues from 2014 that haven't already been covered ad nauseum. Thankfully the panel did delve into the youth of our list (5 teenagers, 11 players under 50 games) and also lauded Bevo for his work in revitalising the fortunes of certain players by giving them different roles and responsibilities (M Boyd, Picken). Bevo also talked about team defence and how he's been working on this since his St Bedes days back in 2008.

Prior to Bevo's interview, there was a fascinating discussion on West Coke's team defence and how the whole team is disciplined in structuring up to deny the opposition the chance to deliver the ball into the dangerous corridor. Probably the best thing I've seen on a footy show in years (admittedly the bar is not particularly high).

With the hair he looks like one of the Plantagenet kings of England to me. Maybe John or Henry II. He needs a beard though. And a crown.

There are four Richmond players left standing by themselves across the ground as because all the Eagles players run to set the zone up because when whoever it was marked the ball. But the contest he kicked to was just as far away as the four players by themself.

Maybe he can't see them because all the West Coast players are in the way?

Having watched a lot of interviews Beveridge was given, even right down to the #Discovered video on the website, I'm glad he's at the helm more than anyone else we've ever had.

Just read an interesting article about Dean Bailey. As he was dying in hospital, he was asked what he would miss the most about footy and he told his colleague he would miss the people. Not the wins or the competition or the strategy.

The article then cited a long term study that concluded that the biggest signifier of success is your ability to nurture and develop relationships.

It made me think of Bevo. It's clear he puts a huge emphasis on this and it's obviously resonating with our playing group. There's another good video on the official Bulldogs site where they interview him while he's out for a days surfing. He gets quite emotional when talking about his mentor, Trevor Barker.

Definitely embraces the emotional/passionate side of footy

Excellent. Thanks. I think the coach on Coaches Box has a pretty good strike rate that weekend too.
