2 - Hunter: huge early, what a bonus if we can get him playing well at AFL level.
1 - Morris: rock in defense against a taller opposition.

4. Wallis consistent all game, went up a notch in the last. 10 score involvements, a goal, plus vital centre clearances.
3. Biggs - his run and use of the ball allowed the Murphy move up forward to remain viable all game.
2. Hunter- his most complete game with the club and was influential with his disposals and decision making.
1. Bontempelli - great composure in tight.

No love for Boyd with 38 disposals off the backline?

He got plenty of it but personally didn't think he was overly damaging. Our whole backline had a lot of touches through handball receives and red time kick to kick. Certainly important, but had others ahead of him.

Apologies to Hunter for not believing in you !!

Also apologies to Biggs (breakout game young man !!), Dahl, Crameri (really great effort - hungry & bullocking), Picken, JJ (his run & carry are so important) and Bonti (some of the things he does in tight are just amazing - binoculars really help you appreciate how good this kid is).

4. Macrae - he has been brilliant since returning from the VFL.
3. Hunter - that's the player we fell in love with a couple years ago.
2. Murphy - I could hear Collingwood supporters behind me in awe of his speed. Not too bad for an old timer!
1. Morris - he saved us many times.

Great pick-up Josie. His extraction skills in tight are exquisite and so far ahead of where a 2nd year player should be.

Remi, you can't spread the votes like that. Biggs does not qualify for the James
If Hunter was the BOG then he has to get the 2 votes in the James.

Hard yakka picking 4 this week.

4. Hunter - brilliant game.
3. Morris - saved us time and time again, some heroic marks and smart spoils.
2. Crameri - on fire early and set the tone.
1. Bontempelli - ability to wear a tackle, get the arms free and release a team mate is so important to our game style.

RJ:

Hunter
Bonti

Could easily have put Picko, Murph, Biggs, Macrae, Wallis, Boyd and Dickson in the votes...but leaned towards the players that got us in a winning position earlier in the game.
