Over the years me and my mates have played a little Brownlow Comp. Thought it might be a bit of fun to run it here.

Rules are simple. You select 3 players AFL wide and 3 Bulldogs (Bulldog players may be selected in both categories).

Top selection gets 3 points per Brownlow Vote, 2nd selection 2 points per vote, 3rd selection 1 point per vote.

Most points wins. Entries close 7.30 tonight.

I'll start off:

AFL
3 - Nathan Fyfe
2 - Matt Priddis
1 - Patrick Dangerfield

DOGS
3 - Mitch Wallis
2 - Luke Dahlhaus
1 - Marcus Bontempelli

AFL Shop advertising memorabilia with Sam Mitchell as 2015 Brownlow Medalist. If he wins, all hell will break loose.

These are stupid numbers at half way. The top few have more votes than some previous winners.

Priddis is a voting machine. Could easily win back to back medals.

I've got a mate who backed Callan Ward to finish Top 5 at $81. He's very toey.

Will struggle to hold on with Danger, Goldy, Gaff & Josh Kennedy all having strong finishes to the year.

We're one of just 2 teams to have 13 vote winning players (other one is North).

I don't know how anyone can watch FTA TV, this is appalling the number of ads.

Hunter makes it 14 players with votes. Good spread.

How did NicNat miss out on votes when they flogged us?

Fyfe has won it. West Coast thrashed in round 22, Priddis average game and round 23, either Gaff with 36 disposals or Priddis with 35 should get the votes. So Fyfe by one vote

Koby Stevens leg was nearly broken too. Fyfe lucky to not have been next to Chris Grant in the history book.

Thought Fyfe spoke brilliantly, sounds like one of those guys you'd love to be playing for your club. I'm hoping Bonti was listening to what Fyfe said about the extra work he did to become more explosive around the stoppages

Both Fyfe and Bont ended up on 13 votes in their 2nd year. I expect to see Bonti accepting the same medal in a few years.

Have to say that was a fairly predictable Brownlow.

Even so, outstanding tipping by the Woofers. In the overall medal, our 13 tipsters narrowed the choices down to 8 players. All finished in the top 15, including 4 of the top 5 (we all missed out on Josh Kennedy).

With the Dogs, we found most of the leaders, other than 2nd placegetter Jackson Macrae (great effort by him, often gets outshone when we talk of our young guns but what a cracker he is).

Scoring was very high, with Soupaman ultimately nudging out Boydogs by a single point.

Boydogs got the most points in the overall medal (Fyfe, Priddis, Hanneberry), whilst Happy Days polled best in Dogs votes (Bont, Boyd, Wallis).

FINAL SCORES
1. 225 - Soupaman (Overall 164, Dogs 61)
2. 224 - Boydogs (173, 51)
3. 222 - PeanutsPeanuts (171, 51)
4. 217 - Ozza (167, 50)
5. 216 - Eze Dog (169, 47)
6. 212 - dadsgirl16 (161, 51)
7. 209 - bornadog (155, 54)
8. 205 - 1eyedog (162, 43)
Hujsh (152, 53)
10. 204 - Jaytee (151, 53)
11. 196 - chef (153, 43)
12. 186 - Happy Days (123, 63)
13. 184 - bulldogtragic (123, 61)

Cheers to PeanutsPeanuts and Soupaman fo adding a bit of fun to the Brownlow.

We're one of just 2 teams to have 13 vote winning players (other one is North).

Turns out we ended up being the only team with 14 players polling brownlow votes which is quite exciting! Trailing us were West Coast, North Melbourne and Geelong with 13 players each.
