View Full Version : Bulldog Soduku

I don't really get Soduku, but this is a little maths game based on general knowledge of players jumper numbers who changed in their career at the dogs only - no previous clubs jumper numbers. The rules are simple:

Just add the value of the player's multiple jumper numbers together, to get a number (eg. Jumper #20 plus #10 = 30). Based on the whole number, we need to work out the player whose different jumper numbers totalling that number.

For example, I give you the number: 21. You need to work out whose two jumper numbers combine to make 21. This would be Scott West who wore 14 and moved to 7. Adding the value of the jumpers numbers together is 21 (14 & 7). So I give you 21, and you answer Scott West. Easy. If you get it right, then you set the next question.

So I'll start off with very, very another very easy one. It is: 32.

I don't really get Soduku

In Sudoku, every number from 1-9 must appear in every row, column and 3x3 box exactly once

This is exactly like that. Just completely the opposite. But it involves thinking and numbers.

His numbers total 125.
He wore #61 but never played a senior game with that number.
He wore #16 with another club, but that's not included in the 125.

This one had me stumped yesterday Ringer, but the Adelaide bit of the clue makes it a bit easier. Pretty sure it's Barry Standfield.

Here is one to finish off.

Guess the player

1. Not mentioned in this thread before.
2. First jumper was number 37.
3. Second jumper was 5.
4. Was initially a great midfielder, one of the leagues best.
5. Played last games in back pocket where was also very good.
6. Was an All-Australian
7. Played alongside JJ, who was also in the backline.

I have a nice little Excel file there, but am missing some numbers where the players wore the number in a reserve's game but never in a senior's game.

I'll leave it for a day and if nobody gets the answer I'll jump in if I can.
