Does anyone have the figures of this years games apposed to previous years ?
I would think our average would be 5000 to 10,000 more a game this year, huge lift in revenue.
Would be great if anyone could break it down game by game on previous years so we could see which teams we could improve it on and ideas on how to concentrate on a particular team we don't draw crowds to.

I would imagine games against Carlton, Melbourne and Essendon will naturally improve next year as they become better teams.
I'm sure we are pulling better crowds to the western state games. Could we possibly find ideas to pull better crowds to GC, GWS and the lions ?
I'm trying to find figures , was hoping they were in my AFL live app but they aren't.

Agree. Our home crowds are significantly up last year and the year before.

Last year, against interstate teams, I don't think we surpassed 20,000 more than once or twice.

Would it be? Don't we either earn a pittance or pay for for right to play depending on if we pass a certain threshold.

I didn't think we can earn more for having larger crowds (aside from memberships sold)

Home Avg:
2014: 22,226
2015: 26,520
2016: 31,098 (with Gee, Rich, StK, Norf, Coll to come - oh there is also GCF at Cazaly, nominally a home game which will bring the average down.)

Massive change.

Sure mirrors ladder postion, doesn't it? Bottom 6, 10,000 less than than finals team.

I would imagine once we pass whatever the rental amount was its all profit .. I think Etihad it's about 20,000 att, but not sure as new deals were struck a few years ago.

This is average so I imagine us playing finals and prelim would have pumped it up big time those years but were our home games this high those years ?
We haven't played finals yet and we are at that amount in regular season, adding approx 150,000 playing finals would have really bumped it up

155,000 to date (rounded) 5 games.

Forecast:
Gee: 45,000
Rich: 35,000
GCS: 10,000
StK: 35,000
NM: 35,000
Coll: 35,000

Total: 350,000 / 11 = 31,800.

Potential for a few of those games to be >35,000.

You are right - I checked 2010: H&W home games only: 30,359 from 11 games vs 31,128 incl 1xhome final.
2009: 32,870 but the points we made are still valid.

I suppose it's an in depth thing where you need to look at who we played in those years and where they were on the ladder , was it Sunday arvo games where you get the lower crowds.
Apparently Collingwood are not travelling to well crowd wise so if we get 35000 at that game it's s good figure.

True but gee there appears to be a strong correlation there between ladder position and attendances over 10 years. It is in our hands: recruitment, retention, form, etc.

Well I think all three are in good hands, maybe we can get this base up to around 40,000 as our worst ..

The sons of the west is a huge benefit to the club in that way, it has bought a lot of opposition supporters to the club and some are actually changing. Also new Australians have showed up and that's automatic respect and love for the club buying membership.
