For a side that likes to springboard off half-back, it's no surprise running defenders Matthew Boyd and Shane Biggs gain the most ground for the Dogs. For the team that struggles with efficiency around the goals, Koby Stevens has been missed in recent weeks. Koby is massive. Strong at the contest, a good mark above his head, carries the ball and just learnt no. 21 in the AFL for effective kicks inside F50. He's definitely inside and outside and we miss him at his best.

Be handy if they had something that gave them consistency on 15 metres for a legal mark as well.

That would be good but difficult to judge the ball in flight. For one thing you're not really watching the ball more from one point to another and perspective and angle and such can interfere with that.

50 metre penalties are a bugbear up of mine because the umpires vary their estimates by a fair degree. You see some 30s and some 50+s. What annoys me is it's such an easy thing to fix. Although someone told me the other day that the grass is cut in 10 metre patches so the umpire just has to count out 5 of those.
