Apols to Moz... I really loved his game . Six one percenters...some of which were worth way more than 1% in the overall scheme of the game.
Also to Hamling - 14 one percenters!!! The best for Sydney was Rampe with 9.

4. Tom Boyd. 6 contested marks one of the best KPP performances I've seen in a grand final. And as a 50% ruckman
3. Morris. Amazing player. No one I'd like to see won a medal more. Warrior and best defender of the last decade
2. Macrae. Influential. Disposal far better this year. Too bad he missed that set shot.
1. Picken. Thank you Williamstown
EDIT: I planned to include Bont because he was using the ball so much better than anyone else but he just got squeezed out (so did the Norm Smith winner to be fair)

4. JJ. Can't have him take Normie home and not give him 4. Was immense when the whips were cracking.
3. T. Boyd. That is all.
2. Dahlhaus. Everywhere.
1. Morris. Marshalled the backline superbly and the last run-down on Buddy was a thing of beauty.

4 - Tom Boyd. Most dominant big man on the ground and with significant time in the ruck whilst able to kick three was our best player

3 - Macrae. I don't think people really understand how much pressure, time and ability for structure to take form as it does when Jack holds on to the football. A goal would have really made his game complete as it would most times when he is a prolific ball earner as he was today.

2 - JJ. When one of our biggest issues in the first half was gaining distance to take the pressure off, he alleviated this by a massive effort with run and carry. If he'd have hit a few more targets he'd have had my four

1 - Morris. What a warrior and defensive legend of the game. He doesn't close as well as he used to, but in my view, he is the coolest and most measured he's ever been when the ball is in dispute in the air and on the ground. He's Mr Perfect when he hits 90+ with the footy

4. Tom Boyd - wow! What a time to play your best ever game. The GF if you don't mind.
3. JJ - he used his speeds and agility all game to break line's. Super player and although I picked Tom Boyd for best on, JJ thoroughly deserves to be the Norm Smith medallist.
2. Picken - talk about ripping the game from the Swans grasp. He was something else in that last quarter.
1. Hamling - if there was Swans player that worried me it was Buddy, well until he copped the hammer.

Soz to all the premiership players!

4. Jason Johannisen - our best 4 quarter player, huge metres gained, his run through Sydney off balance.
3. Tom Boyd - towering marks, 3 goals, and fierce in the ruck contests.
2. Picken - Huge influence in the last quarter in particular. 25 possessions and 3 goals. Hopefully he wins the Gary Ayres medal.
1. Morris - hard to choose between Moz, Bont, Macrae - but Morris was inspiring with his defensive play.

4. Tom Boyd: Who would have thought Boyd would be in everyones top four in a winning Grand Final, let alone collecting the 4 from over half the posters.
3. Liam Picken: Has become one of our best known and most loved players by the footballing world after previously bing known as a rough tagger
2. Dale Morris: My favourite player. Unbelievably he has been better than ever in these last two years, and I was already calling him the best defender I'd ever seen by 2010.
1. Joel Hamling: Awesome effort on Buddy. Has to re-sign with us.

Having watched the replay several times, I'd go:

4 - Tom Boyd - those repeated contested marks were just massive. The level of physicality for a 100kg+ monster years from his pime was outstanding.
3 - Bont - We take so much for granted with Him, but those passages where everyone else can't find a yard of space for an effective disposal and he seemingly laconically opens everything up with a pivot and a laser pass or slick hands are gold. When you win 22 possessons (11 contested), 6 clearances, 5 stoppages in a GF, a disposal efficiency over 90% is insane. Won 9 hitouts (!!), laid 7 tackles, 2 goal assists. Wow.
2 - JJ - Haven't seen metres gained stats, but he must be huge in that area. Immense game, I probably marked him harder than the Norm Smith voters as he did butcher a few disposals.
1 - Hamling - Such a smart game, played bulk of time on Buddy, did a great job but still brave enough to peel off and help out others.

I would've loved to have squeezed in; Morris, Picken, Macrae, Libba, Dahlhaus, Roughead, MBoyd.....

Geelong were foolish to not mark Buddy closely and they paid. Hamling probably did his homework on their lapses because he wore him like a glove. A lot of things come out of a re-watch and I enjoy watching our defenders at work.

A couple of beautiful handballs to Stringer and Dickson resulting in goals. His only blemish was the set shot that he should have easily nailed.

The most underrated player at the club.

4 - Dale Morris

This guy left his man on countless occasions to help others and on every occasion either killed the ball or won it back. Absolute champion, and perennial performer, but I don't think I've seen him play a better game than that - with a broken back, in a Grand Final.

3 - Liam Picken

Us Bulldog supporters always knew he had more talent than the average tagger, but not sure anyone saw this transformation coming. What a player, he's not the son of Billy or the cousin of Browny. He's Liam fricken Picken.

2 - Marcus Bontempelli

He delivered what he's been delivering all year, effective third man up hitouts, clean clearances and booming, accurate kicks inside fifty.

1 - Tom Boyd

Best game in the tri colours, came at the right time. He's a Bulldog through and through now.

Kennedy was very good in the first half, but I thought not as influential in the second half.

I had Kennedy BOG honestly. Even if he wasn't as dominant in the 2nd half (13 disposals and a goal isn't exactly quiet though) he was basically doing it all on his own in the 1st half.
