Just noticed the link has been taken down from the original site about this book. I sent them an email and they said the book will be back from the printer early next week and will be posted to those who have pre-orders immediately, and after that, back on the website.

Who is that?
I feel qualified to tell you who Andrew Gigacz is............

I went to Kindergarten with him, and primary school, and secondary school.

And he's the guy I still go to the footy with every week. We are strictly standing room devotees.

We grew up together in St. Albans in the 1970's.

He's a very thoughtful, generous, gregarious and intelligent man with a very dry sense of humour and a strong sense of history and social justice.

A bit of a nutty genius with figures and stats and anagrams. An absolute lover of the dogs and Footy in general.

Funnily enough when we were kids he barracked for the bombers and I barracked for the Blues.

But like a lot of people in the west you can't resist that eventual tug to the bulldogs.

The other nuts I go with used to barrack for the tigers and the hawks (before we all grew up and grew a pair)

I haven't got my copy yet, but I can assure you all, young master Gigacz is a very very good choice for the job.

I've only got one question. How did zitter get his nickname?

Like most nicknames it's not as groovy as it sounds.
His surname is Zitterschlager. So Zitter for short.

By the way, it's a Slovenian name.

My brother went to school with a kid called Silvester Zitterschlager at Our Lady's in Sunshine in the 1950s.

A Zitterschlager also owned a mechanics business in St.Albans in the 70's and 80's. Think his name was Silvo. Not 100% sure.

Got my copy today. The introduction by Peter Gordon is just superb - absolutely nails it.

My favourite photos? The two of Tom Boyd kicking hos long bomb and the post siren shot of Caleb Daniel about to embrace Biggsie. Captured moment Gold Medal - pure joy.

The cost of the booklet was $40 at the Bulldog Shop, but $32 at the In the Kennel function (20% off).

It may still be at that discounted cost at Thursday's Social Club function.

Just a thought for those thinking of purchasing a copy.
