I just like to wish all woofers a good Christmas and a Happy and safe New Year. It has been one of the best year's for our club in our long history taking out our 2nd ever premiership and I can proudly say along with many other Bulldog supporters I was there to witness and special moment. May we do it again in 2017 and go back to back.

Merry, merry Christmas everyone.

2016 was such a memorable year, I don't know how 2017 is going to top it but I hope all the wishes you make over Christmas and New Years come true. And to anyone under 30, visit your parents.

Those who have Fox Footy, have you noticed on Christmas Day all the GF stuff is going to be repeated such as the GF parade, breakfast, pre & post game footage, & of course the game itself? If it were up to me I'd be staying home & watching all that!

I don't mind dropping 'round and watching it. It'll get me out of the house and I don't have fox footy.

It's really hard ... for the amount of famous people we lost, the US election, (for that matter our election), the death and destruction around the world, the family members we gave all lost through out the year ... 2016 really sucked. Yet 2016 will be remembered for one reason ... I was at the G when our team won the Premiership!!!!

Merry Christmas one and all. My wish for your family and mine is that 2017 is a hell of a much better year and we go back-to-back.

Stripes are too low and the cape should be blue.

Just sent Xmas email to friends and family we do not see often. Took the liberty of attaching photos of hubby and me at Grand Final and also us holding the Cup.

" 'Tis the season to be jolly, WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF....WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF !!"

And Ditto what KT31 said to all WOOFers. May 2017 be another good 'un for those "brilliant and exceptional Bulldogs" and all who follow the RWB.

This year was a tyre fire politically but the 2 sporting teams I love won for the first time in my life, which colours it somewhat differently

Happy dog for xmas!

I just stuffed extra membership gear into stockings to share the guilt...

Quote from the news:
THE Western Bulldogs claim what has to be the best premiership in VFL-AFL history. Seventh on the ladder after Round 23, the Dogs were underdogs in four finals — two interstate — had an injury list that never quit and broke a 62-year flag drought two years after the sudden departure of captain Ryan Griffen and coach Brendan McCartney had left them in crisis.

Enjoy.

Merry Xmas to all. The Club has given us the best Christmas present ever. There are no words adequate to explain the love I feel for the Dogs. We supporters stayed staunch and you rewarded us with a gift that is beyond the wildest imaginings of the supporters of rival clubs. We are the only people to have received a gift as precious and as meaningful as the won we have just received. Triumph of the underdogs! GO DOGS!

Hey, I just re-read this. See how my sub-conscious has been affected by our Premiership victory? I'll let you work it out but can assure you the mistake was not intentional but is indicative of the shift in my thinking since 5.00pm on October 1.

Happy new premiership year everyone.

I had to chuckle the other day, I ran into a mate at work who I hadn't seen since about August (He's been on Long Service Leave).

He'd mused that he expected me to still be partying.

I said that I was just going to enjoy being reigning premiers until they crown the next mob.

He very quickly corrected me "You mean until you win it again next year, right?"

I was so caught up in the euphoria that it didn't occur to me to worry about going back to back.

Yep, next year is the one we can really celebrate. This was was a relief and a monkey off the back year but next year it's par-tee time.

To back. Or do they call it three-peat then four-peat? Is there a five-peat, surely they change it after 4. I guess we'll find out in 2020.
