Through all of 2016 we were told by David King that we couldn't win the flag because we weren't in the premiership quadrant.

Oh the irony of last night scores.

Nice troll Bulldogs!

Ps. The premiership quadrant states you score 100, concede 86.. Oh the lols.

Yes. We are an absolute anamoly to the guys that that have made careers from sprouting footy truths such as the quadrant and clock and window etc. in the media there is a whole language built up around it that we are making it impossible to use with any authority.

Bevo intervuew with De Stoop was a good example. Reporter said something like "stats x y and z weren't impressive, you finished 7th, it's hardly a Premiership re I've." Bevo replied "by virtue of winnin, it was."

The way we are playing is incongruent with the footy world's grip on reality. We've ripped their goto narrative about us off them and now we are trolling their whole understanding of what winning is and how it is done. In the absence of any of their faux science, they've resorted to things like umpiring bias, illegal tactics ect. It's like primitive societies worshipping the Sun god to explain things they didn't understand.

Winners are grinners and losers can please themselves.

I liked that we were late to come out too.

It's just lazy ass people that are supposed to be experts in the game. Our game with a reasonable amount of injuries was always top 4 material at the very least. Even with a depleted side we were still winning games, just had to do it in an unconventional fashion. Play out the year with a reasonable amount of injuries and I have absolutely no doubt we will be top 4

"Lies, damned lies and statistics."

An epitaph for Champion Data, now that we have rendered them redundant.

Here's a good article on the Quadrant, and how easily it is debunked:

http://www.theroar.com.au/2016/05/19/debunking-the-afl-premiership-indicator/

That "experts" hang on to these types of tools to build a narrative and stick to blindly just cheapens their input.

I was reading it and it was going well for a while because I understood most of the words and everything. But then the numbers started and my eyes wanted to explode. What was his point? He doesn't like Leigh Matthews or something.

LOL his point was that the quadrant is a load of shit, made retrospectively to appear correct. Teams that finished outside of the top 8 have been in the quadrant.

And it only works if you only use the last 16 years. Go back any further and it falls apart very quickly.

The best quadrant were the four premiership quarters we played on 1 October 2016. No better indicator exists

We only scored 89 points in the prelim and in the grand final...so we couldn't possibly have won those matches.
