Not sure where the interstate clubs are? (except Brisbane)

We love our merchandise :)

That revenue per member figure for the Pies is impressive.

How did they do that?

Are Pies fans in black balaclavas pulling hold ups and car jackings, and blaming the Sudanese community?

Apparently interstate clubs release their figures in February, so I can get an update later.

My eye test suggests that the Swans are doing OK.

They'll probably never win another flag with Buddy, but he's been good for business. And, I must admit, he's pretty good watching live.

Interesting that Collingwood makes a huge gaming profit, but without it they're almost $9m in the red (if I'm reading the breakdown correctly).

Bit of a sad indictment on a club that's supposed to be the bastion of the working class - they're quietly sucking them dry.

I wish the dogs would get out of gaming. Problem is replacing the revenue stream, just ask the state government about that one.

Have you heard of John Wren? Collingwood have always sucked their supporters dry. Wren helped to keep Collingwood a slum because it suited his purposes.

We’ve always done well with merchandise. Reckon it’s the colours, and it’s drilled into us about buying merchandise from the club helps the bottom line

The thing that impressed me the most is the liabilities. To have the lowest liabilities of any of the clubs is astounding. The ratio of liabilities to equity is equally impressive.

It's stunning that Geelong only have 9 mil in equity. It's horrifying that Brisbane are 13 mil in the red. That's a long way to claw back.

Pretty impressed with St Kilda's result. The best profit/loss figures of all the listed clubs, with comparatively little gaming and merchandise revenue.

They do get significant AFL distributions, but so do we.

Bodes well for us, with Ameet Bains no doubt having some influence on the Saints numbers.

That merch figure has to be a result of the premiership right? No way in a normal year with no extra memorabilia to flog would we be 20% better than the nearest club.

For sure the premiership. Tge bulldog shop was cleared out the day after the GF. Lotsa people urgently needed bulldog stuff to prove they were Bulldog supporters!

Yep, you'd have to be doing something majorly wrong if you win a flag and your merch doesn't sell. They were inventing things for us to buy last year.
