The main ones I can remember are (1986 onwards) Oakley (up yours), Jackson, Demetriou & Gil.

I actively dislike three of them. So Wayne Jackson is my least disliked AFEL boss in 30+ years.

Strewth, where does one start?

Perhaps because it's freshest but Gil for me is #1 in part because of the deplorable custodianship of the game at large.

Then again Oakley wanted us in the ground so he can thoroughly GAGF.

We won that stoush though so Gillon, I duly anoint thee the undisputed shittest of a supremely shit bunch.

Demetriou was crooked.

Jackson the most anodyne so take a bow.

Oakley by a country mile, for obvious reasons. The others just don't come close: whatever their faults, they didn't actively try to consign mybteam to the scrap heap of history.

It's least disliked, as opposed to most disliked (ie Oakley). I don't think any are likeable, so it's the least worst AFEL boss.

Ross Oakley had testicles the size of two footballs. Back in the day during Peter Gordon's first tenure when they had Selector's Table on Thursday nights in the social club Gordon turned up one night and said "I've just come from a meeting at League headquarters and I have bought a very special guest back with me. But first of all he has asked me to guarantee his safety so I have to ask if I just happened to have Ross Oakley with me and he was willing to take questions about 1989 is he going to be safe? You aren't going to go crazy and kill him?" And bang, there he was! Taking questions from the floor. Ross the Boss...

What year was this TD, was this early on in our reanimation or had the wounds at least started to get a good scab on it?
Your recollection of that Q& A would be worthy of a thread on its own.

It would have been in the early 1990s I guess. '91 or '92? I was impressed that Daniel went into the lion's den.

I don't really remember much of what he said though. Lots of chemicals have destroyed a lot of brain cells since those days.
