Woof Player Awards Round 17 2019

Welcome to the WOOF Player Awards for season 2019, Round 17 Western Bulldogs vs Melbourne.

There are two awards that you can vote on once the game is completed.

Voting closes each Tuesday at 8.00pm so Shop Early and avoid the rush

The first award is for the Joe Marmo Medal for the best players on the ground.

There are 4 votes allocated and it's a 4 for the best and of course 3, 2 and 1.

The second award is for the Ron James Medal for the best 2 pups on the ground.

2 Votes allocated - 2 being for the best pup and 1 for the runner-up
Remember the cut off age for a pup is 22 as at the 1st of January, 2019.

I think Lloyd deserves a point because nobody looks close to scoring for periods of a game, then he scores. Looks very determined to score, when others are fluffing about.

Could not have said all of this better myself. Bloody pumped for Schache. Relief rich work competitive too. And Lloyd was on fire early on. Magnificent recruitment of him and Dureya-a real General down back. Kind of goes under radar but he is a good ‘un.

Hunter, B.Smith and Dunkley’s clutch goals great. Felt like although we kicked a fair few points we did not miss too many if any easy ones-a nice change.

Schache - could have given the 1 vote to a number of players - but Schache covered more Km's than any other player yesterday, and just got himself to contests in a way I haven't seen him do before. Created space for other team mates, had 8 score involvements and 4 clearances. Thought his game was in some ways more valuable than when he has kicked 3 goals (Port game aside as goals were gold that night).

Apologies to Macrae, Lloyd, Crozier and I also thought Cordy was really important.
