Bont is finally too old, however we still have 4 nominees in English, Naughton, Dunkley and Bailey Smith. The first 3 should be walk up starts. Nice recognition for Smith to be nominated.

Congratulations to Dunkley, Naughton and English. Bad luck to Smith but I reckon he might make it in the next few years.

I can see at least half a dozen players that I would have selected Bailey Smith in front of. Mileara, Zuhraar? Puhlease...

To be perfectly honest. If Carlton offered a direct swap. Sam Walsh for Bailey Smith I would say no thanks.

They are diferent type of players though. Walsh is more of an accumulator whereas Smith hurts teams with his disposal.

I wouldn't swap Bailey Smith for any player under 20 in the AFL. I'd think twice about swapping him for any player in the league given Bailey hasn't reached anywhere near his limit yet. Bailey hurts teams with his disposal more than most teenagers I have seen play the game. Leon Cameron was pretty spot on as a teenager with his disposal-I'd rate him above Bailey.
