Sherridon Homes, Midway build with the Bulldogs

The Western Bulldogs’ AFL and VFL programs have received an off-field boost, with Sherridon Homes and Midway extending their partnerships with the Club.

Sherridon Homes will continue as a platinum partner of the Bulldogs for a further two years, while Midway has taken their relationship with the Club to the next level by becoming an official VFL partner for the next three years.

Sherridon Homes provide high quality, great value new homes and are a locally owned and operated company with a large presence in Melbourne’s western corridor, with over 40 years of experience in the industry.

After a successful partnership in 2019, Sherridon Homes will feature on the Club’s media backdrop and on changeroom signage for the next two years.

“We’re proud to continue our partnership with the Western Bulldogs into the 2020 season. The synergy between our brands, both firmly entrenched in the west, just makes perfect sense to us,” said General Manager of Sherridon Homes, Simon Mandragona.

“Sherridon Homes has a strong connection and foundation in providing communities in the western suburbs with quality and affordable homes,”

“We are both two teams on the rise, with a shared footprint that extends from Melbourne’s west all the way to Ballarat and with common values when it comes to a sense of community. We’re very much looking forward to the year ahead.”

Midway, specialists in concrete, garden and building supplies, have been a long-term partner of the Bulldogs, having been heavily involved in player sponsorship for over a decade.

Midway is a family-owned Australian business with 35 years of experience in the northern and western suburbs of Melbourne.

From 2020, Midway will feature on the back of the Footscray VFL guernsey and on signage at VU Whitten Oval.

“It’s a great sign that successful, local organisations like Sherridon Homes and Midway have benefitted from the partnerships they’ve formed with the us and are keen to build on them into the future,” said Bulldogs’ Chief Commercial Officer, Nick Truelson.

“We had a great first season with Sherridon Homes in 2019, who were new to the Bulldogs family but shared many of the same values and characteristics our club lives by.

“Midway has enjoyed a long association with the Bulldogs, and we’re delighted to have them continue with us in an increased capacity over the next few years.

“We look forward to building on our relationship with both Sherridon Homes and Midway into 2020 and beyond, along with all of our other valued partners.”

Great news. Thought Midway was Medway Golf misspelt:)
Sponsoring the Bulldogs is a smart move. We promise to expose brands to coverage and success.

Have you heard the Bill Clinton/medway golf course story?

As Air Force one taxied to land at point Cook (military base in the western suburbs) Clinton looks out of the window and spots Medway golf course so he says to one of his goons "ring that golf course and book us a round with the PM for next Tuesday"

So the Secret Service guy looks up the number for Medway, rings the pro shop and says that he is ringing on behalf of the President of the US and that Bubba and Bob Hawke wants to book the course for this coming Tuesday to play a round of golf. The pro sucks his teeth and the SS guy says "is there a problem?" and the pro says "Yeah mate. sorry about this but Tuesday is womens day!"

Bill Clinton and Bob Hawke were never President/Prime Minister at the same time and planes can only taxi on the ground, but lets not allow facts to get in the way of a good story. ;)

Mate I'm telling a story that Bob Hawke told me 30 years ago off the top of my head.

Maybe they were never POTUS/PM together but Hawke and Clinton were great mates. They chased tail, drank scotch and fixed the world between them. We will never have a relationship with the USA like we did under Hawke.

We just play at the edges now-any power we had has dissipated.
