Watching the aints run over the top of the old cats in that third qtr augurs well for our match in a few weeks.

For about 5 minutes I kept getting flashbacks to when Clay Smith did his knee and the Saints ran over the top of us.

Oh God that was the worst!

Was it Clay or Wally breaking his leg. I can't remember I've blocked it out xD

Edit : Wally broke his in the last qtr so had to be Clay.

We were 55 points up after kicking the first of the 3rd (15-70) and lost 94-87.

I'm enjoying watch Swans stick it to Essendon. Hope they go on with it.

How good is Errol Gulden? I'd love to have him playing with us.

We do, he’s called Bailey Dale.

Gulden up forward would be more than handy for us.

Oh no doubt. Sorry that came off as dismissive, I meant more that I look at Gulden and I see Dale. Very similar players playing in slightly different spots.

GCS 4 goals up on the dockers a five mins into the 2nd half. Extremely wet conditions.

Will be interesting to see how the rest of the game pans out.

Not AFL but Casey beat North by 20 goals should we send the drug testers down there or pfwhat?

Rory Lobb not exactly endearing himself with his display against GC. He is what happens when you are not really a ruckman and not really a forward but you have "athletic atrributes"

True, but Chol in the same game is doing just fine.

I reckon more attitude than anything

Whilst Melbourne have a 19 year old who they drafted last draft at #19 kicking 6 in the VFL.

Jacob Van Rooyen.

@MJP know much about him? He's from your side of the Nullarbor.

How much will Melbourne beat WC by?

No Kennedy, Hurn, Yeoh, Gaff, Shuey, Natanui, Rioli, Sheed, Oscar Allen, Tom Cole.

Demons full strength except Salem.

100+ if serious.

A new low from BT, who mistook small forward Durdin from Carlton for the delisted Durdin from the Kangas, who is about 20 cms taller and a key defender.

Viewers are force-fed this utter shite and we don't have a choice of commentary teams (unlike NRL) if we want to watch. Seriously, fark BT and fark Ch 7.

I really wanted us to get recruit him last year. I wonder if he was on our radar and we gave me a decent offer ?

His exactly what we need :
- part time ruck who can give chop out for witts
- gets to good spots fwd
- knows how to bring the ball to ground
- kicks goals

Has a decent tank

Imagine if JUH kicked 6 in the VFL… would make front page of the HUN

I think he kicked 5 last year but it wasn't any where near as dominant.

Melbourne are going to be strong for some time. Their list management team is second to none (cheers Bevo!).

I think Bevo has a friendship and association (St Bedes days?) with a number of the Melbourne recruiting team. I recall him talking about being annoyed/upset with them taking Hannan

Yep, he is on the record saying their list manager and recruiting manager are very close mates of his.

There was a detailed article written last year explaining how Bevo’s footy connections and influence (namely through his father) provided opportunities for some close friends to get into the list management space. Those same friends ended up joining Melbourne and ultimately masterminded the Demons list build, in a way helping to stop Bevo from winning another flag.

Without their connection to Bevo, it’s unlikely they ever get into list management in the first place. Funny how the world works.

Worst part of that is Van Rooyen was picked using our first pick.
Melbourne could screw us again!

Well... it's really only in the last 18 months that many of the fringe type players that the Dees have, have really shone to their potential, or shown what they couldbe. So their list management isn't going to be as easy as "they're on our list now, so we'll be keeping them".

They have a fair few A-graders, and so some of the newer kids, and likes of Jackson, Fritsch, Brayshaw, McDonald etc may get offers elsewhere they can't refuse. Who knows. I hope so!
