This is the Round 6, 2022 edition of the weekly Bankers and Anchors thread. Once the game against Adelaide is concluded post your nominations for:

The Bankers = 3 guys/aspects of the game that we banked on to do the right thing during the game
The Anchors = 3 guys/aspects of the game that weighed us down by their errors or poor play

Please limit it to no more than three of each player or aspect of the game, but feel free to make honourable/dishonourable mentions. As usual try to make it constructive criticism.

Try and restrict it to individual players rather than aspects of the overall match - I will allow more freedom now as the thread seems to be going down more of the aspects of the game path so you can have 3 for each made up of aspects of the game and individual players.

The thread is named in honour of a popular WOOF Contributor, The Banker, who passed away on 22/04/2012 after a six month battle with cancer.

Bankers

1. Libba - 33 disposals, 9 Clearances and 10 tackles - who said he was gone.

2. Bont - two great acts created two goals in the last:

* lying on the ground tapped it forward to Treloar who kicked a great snap
* Rushed in for a big front on tackle, ball spills and Dunks snaps truly

3. Gardner - Starting to play with some real confidence, spinning out of trouble, ducking and weaving, 8 marks and 16 disposals, held his own.

Anchors

1. Turnovers and foot/hand skills

2. Weightman - went missing for 3/4 until he got a few kicks in the last

3. Calling for Bevo's head after 6 rounds - really??? It has been a tough week at the club with two deaths, plus Lachie having issues.

Bankers

Tim O'Brien - was actually have a legitimate intercepting tallish defender on our list. Hooray

Libba - Best on for us and it wasn't close

Dunkley - 10 tackles. Even if it's not his day you can't question his work ethic

Anchors

Game sense - Adelaide set up an extra tall up behind the ball, so repeatedly kicking long down the line (and rarely switching it) played into their hands. Dumb dumb dumb

Ruck depth - pretty much every Bulldog fan noted it last trade period, and they were right

Midfield set-up - who sacrifices possession for position? We need a scrapper in the centre at times. Throw McComb in there late to stand next to Keays. Anything.
