Great work BB - quite a few players probably a bit unlucky to miss out on votes this week as there were a lot of good players. Interesting that probably 4 of the 6 names here were ones that often weren't featured in our best players last year for various reasons - Gia, Aker, Griff and Hill. Let's hope they can all continue to impress.

Well done on the tally. A really worth while venture that I will participate in each Tues night. Little dissapointed that Johnno didn't get up, he won the game for us off his own boot.

It was very very close between Cooney and Johnno the difference was about 5 votes. Keep up the voting.

No doubt Cooney, Griffen & Aker have been our best 3 so far this season. Obviously a few other names would be nice to see up there (Eg. Ray) but we can't help injuries. At the beginning of the year most people agreed these 3 had to have big seasons for us if we were to be a better side, and so far - this is certainly the case.

I have a question on these awards, is it just added up at the end of the year and we all get together and say woohoo look who won or do we have something where we present the player with something or whatever? just wondering.

It is purely to have a vote on which players that you think performed well each week - interesting to compare when the dogs B&F comes around and see how close we accurately predicted our votes.

Wonder how long it has been since the top 6 players after 6 rounds didn't include Johnson and West? I imagine the B&F would be similar in the regards. Pleasing to see a good amount of players taking their share of the weight.

Geez Lake and Hargrave are pretty stiff to have not polled at all so far this season.

Lake has been terrific and Hargrave has been claiming the scalps of a few that have caused us some real problems in the past.

I suppose its a good indication as to how well some others are going.

We could have a seperate comp for " Player of the finals"

If Cooney is the winner, we will have to have an awards night and invite him to collect his trophy (do we have one):D

How quickly the season finishes - seems like only yesterday we were enthralled by Johnno in his 300th game in Round 1 against Adelaide.

Thanks to everyone that has voted in the Marmo and James this season. Will be interesting to see the Dogs B&F results and how we fared with our votes.

I will do a "Player of the finals series" voting thread and place it up on Thursday evening, in readiness for Friday night's game against Hawthorn.

So, below is the final voting for this season....congrats to Adam Cooney for taking out the Marmo in 2008. In the James - Ryan Griffen took the honours.
