Vice-captain Jack Macrae is leading the way for the Bulldogs, rated number one in four of 15 top stats categories at the midway point of the AFL season.

To no-one’s surprise, Macrae has won the most disposals so far with 379, and claimed top spot for handballs, total clearances and centre clearances.

He ranked in the top five in 10 different areas.

Versatile midfielder Josh Dunkley was next best, leading marks, tackles and score involvements, while finishing in the top five in nine categories.

Main thing I get out of that is the impressive improvement of Ed Richards this season.

Main thing I get out of that is the impressive improvement of Ed Richards this season.

Richards has been impressive since being moved back to his more normal position. Last season he was seen an under performing player and a potential flop.
A few other points outside of Macrae and Richards.
Dunkley is prominent in a lot of the categories.
The numbers don't quite acknowledge the outstanding season Liberatore is having.
Caleb Daniel had a slow start to the season and I'm expecting bigger things from him in the 2nd half of the season.
I like to see Treloar kick the ball a bit more and handball a bit less.
Bailey Dale is having another great year.

This is Adam's 11th AFL season... In only one season has Adam averaged more kicks per game than handballs.. That was in his first season.

Whilst you might want him kicking more... it isn't the way he plays.

And his kick to handball differential is the closest it's been to 1:1 for 10 seasons.
