When I get a second I am going to crunch the numbers on how many Friday nights Carlton has had over the last 5 or 6 seasons (when they have been mostly awful).

The rhetoric that it is based on previous year’s performance needs to be called out and I hope GC make finals this year- let’s see if they get more than Carlton do as they would deserve.

Made no effort to tackle the player, braced for contact, left the ground and hit Hewett in the head.
At best it's a 2 week Bali break for him and it could be more likely 3 weeks plus and they have the bye.

It should be graded as Careless Conduct --> Severe Impact --> High contact
That's a 3 week break and it could be 4 weeks.

It was a good round of footy. North played well and were desperately unlucky. Port highlighted to all concerned how powerful they can be. Gold Coast are a legitimate side and no one should discount Collingwood.

Yep agree. Be interesting to see what happens with him. My guess is most will probably be scared off now and he will stay with the Crows.

I’d say the chances of him leaving are slim. No club should offer the money that would generate high FA compo. So it’s in Adelaide’s interest to keep him now as I don’t see they will gain enough back. It’s a shame for him, he just went from big pay day to staying for what the crows are willing to pay. Unless they trade him on the cheap if they’ve over committed to other free agents they’ve been linked to. What a disaster for them all.
