Ok, so we’ve heard from the WOOF experts with Naughton widely predicated to win our goal kicking award, so the next question is who will take home the Charles Sutton Medal?

It’s very hard to go past the Bont for me, the pre season reports indicate he’s in sensational condition and we know he’s one of the best midfielders in the competition able to impact games, critical moments and kick lots of goals. He gets my vote this year, and I suspect English and Dale will round out the top 3.

Yeh a fully fit Bont is unbeatable. Should win the Brownlow too.

Ed Richards is the one not on your list who I think could get a podium finish.

Bont/English pretty hard to split - but Timmy's not on the list

I think Richards is going to explode this year. Everything points to him progressing even further and getting AA honours. He has no weakness to his game. So he gets my vote

What is pleasing is when you rattle off those 11 players mentioned in the poll, if they all stay healthy and perform at the level they can, we will be well in contention

To be a genuine contender we probably need Bont back to his best. So I’m going with him.

Based on the preseason whatever niggling injuries he was managing throughout 2022 seem to be behind him now and he should be primed for a fast start to the season.

Hopefully no one stomps on his ankle round 1 this year

His main flaw is roaming all over the backline and trying to switch play and turning the ball over. He needs to improve his decision making and I agree he can get AA honours.

I'm going with Macrae. I just think he's the sort of person who will be pretty driven by what I thought was a real 'lack of focus' during 2022 and will bounce back to play that relentless, consistent footy that just screams "B&F" winner...

He's never won it either, pipped by Hunter back in 2018?

Robbed!

It’s a shame he hasn’t won it, been ultra consistent for so many years. Not sure off the top of my head, but must have 5 top 5 finishes or
So.

Yeah I think he actually has five top 3 finishes.

A fit Bont will romp it in, Tim 2nd and Macrae 3rd
