Zac Fisher has been traded to North Melbourne. Fisher and 17 to Kangaroos for Picks 21 and 25. - Riley Beveridge

That's a good deal for Carlton

Carlton flanker Zac Fisher is officially a North Melbourne player.

The 25-year-old requested a trade to the Kangaroos last week after meeting with Alastair Clarkson and completing a medical at the club after Carlton's season finished.

The Kangaroos part with pick 25 and 21 for Fisher. The Blues sent pick 17 along with the 25-year-old to Arden St.

Fisher played 107 games in the navy blue after being taken with pick No. 27 in the 2016 Draft.

He's the second player to join North Melbourne on Wednesday with Dylan Stephens also heading to the club.

I m not sure about this one. 21 and 25 could end up 25 and 29ish. Lots of talk that the draft is not that deep- I think I would take 17 and Fisher and NM are the winners here.

It's reported they're now planning to package 11 and their first pick (6, from the dockers for Luke Jackson) to try and get higher. I imagine they will be looking for something like 6 and 11 to Norf for 3 + 18 or so.

Well at least I can die happy that our poor management and setting the market high will also lead to the demons overpaying.

Or maybe it’s just the market rate? It’s clear the top 6 picks are being valued wayyyy higher than anything else and anything outside of 10-12 is virtually worthless and being thrown around like steaknives.

Poor management or smart management to get our hands on one of the very highly regarded picks?

Yes, he looks like he could be a player and the Hawks have negotiated in good faith for the player but making WC pay up.
The net pick 38 deal is a reasonable outcome for both sides and the player gets his wish to return home.

So we can cover a Croft bid at pick 12 or greater as our selections currently stand at close of trading today; with Essendon, Adelaide and Melbourne currently holding the prior picks 9, 10, and 11 respectively.

We should land some more points for Jordon Sweet as well so we are probably well placed to get Croft and Lual if Lual attracts a bid after pick 40.

I’m not sure how you prove it’s either of them, it’s an over the toilet door video and the back of a man’s head.
Apparently it’s revenge for McStays earlier video of Ginnivan.
Are things falling apart at the pies?
The club looked very good for a few years to come.

If we're talking random rumors apparently some think Hunter has been a bad influence on Oliver.

Feels a bit like someone trying to find an excuse for why Oliver is in the situation he's in but that's the gossip

Two rumours were floating around both pretty over the top.
Melbourne not looking to trade Hunter or any mention of trading him seems to show it was just a made up story .

Tom Morris on Massimo D’Ambrosio -

He’s a second year rookie, and under AFL rules of a club offers a third year rookie contract, the player can decline and become a UFA. Essendon were apparently unaware of this rule when they offered him a third year rookie deal a couple of weeks ago and have been bargaining with the Hawks for a trade. He will now simply walk to Hawthorn for nothing

Oh Dodo, you've made Trade week.

Hawthorn gets: Ginnivan, 39, Coll's F2 + Coll's F4

If GC are letting him go that cheap there's probably a reason. How many of these 'bargain' former early picks from the expansion clubs have left on the cheap and been great players?

25 for Esava seems high. I wonder what Port see in him that I’m missing. To me a very non-intuitive, fumbly player who is a decent size ie rugby player dimensions.

They're pushing all their chips into the middle of the table for next season and think they just need some bigger and athletic defenders to achieve that next step.
