I am going to the Coll Vs Ess match tomorrow and I was just wondering if any one here had attended before I am actualy looking forward to it as a spectical it would be interesting to see. If any one could shed some light on what to expect it would be great. AND FYI I am also attending the Dogs match have to go tomorrow as the Mrs goes every year being a former essendon supporter but now bulldogs member its kind of a family tradition.

What you can expect is over-the-top hyperbole and someone being lauded as the best thing to ever hit the AFL because he was BOG in a home-and-away match.

And someone will mention how great James Hird is.
Mark Robinson will still give him votes.

2 very mediocre sides playing in the ANZAC day clash, why dont the AFL make it something you earn. The 2 Victorian sides who finished highest on the ladder the year before.
Or maybe the side who won the pre season cup plays the year before premiers, bit like the charity shield in the UK.
The AFL wants an even playing field but then gives this game to the same 2 sides every year.
Could even make it the rematch from year befores grand final, i know interstate sides might bugger it up a bit, but thats why i mentioned maybe the 2 top Vic sides.
Sides like us need the gate takings more than they do.

What a sweet idea. Naive, but sweet.

As if the AFL would ever do that. Ledge, you gotta start thinking AFL

Would that be Geelong vs Collingwood or the Roos. Because we can't have the Roos play

It would be awesome if it was Geelong vs Hawthorn.
