I was just wondering, what is the record for most consecutive games to score 100 points or more is?

Im interested to see how far away we are from the record, because I get the feeling that we may be able to break it, if we continue to play as we are.

Geelong might hold that record. Have heard that Blight said he just told them to play and kick a huge score each week

I heard on radio this weekend that the Bombers in 2000 hold the record - don't know what the number is.

In round 14, 2000 Essendon kicked 89 points against Sydney (who kicked 76) which was their first score of less than 100 points that season.

They could still have the record if the previous year counts.

Essendon kicked over 100 points in their last 4 games of 99 and their first 13 of 2000 so the record is 17.

I haven't bothered to look it up but I'm fairly sure we didn't top the ton too often in the last few rounds of 2007.

Ive been doing some research...

Consecutive Games Scoring 100+

1. Carlton 19 Games - R1-19 1979
2. Kangaroos 19 Games - R14-7 1999-2000
3. Essendon 17 Games - R21-13 1999-2000
4. Carlton 12 Games - R6-18 2000

And we sit here!
5. Western Bulldogs 12 Games - R1-12(Present) 2008

Surely we can knock off Carlton from that 4th position this week :) And possibly Essendon!

Thanks for that. Looking at our fixture I think that if we kick 100 points against Geelong in 3 weeks, we may be able to break this record.

You'd think if any team could stop us getting to 100 it would be Sydney...we play em later in the year in Canberra...

But then again we got it when we played em earlier this year

All over. Who would have thought it would stop at Collingwood? 99 points...
