Aka also says Morris may play Williams role and Everitt or Tiller play Morris's role. No mention of Wight.

If it is true, what now for Tommy?
Will his body ever stand up to the strain of AFL footy?

Boy, we've had a bad run with our tall draftees!

If its true I'm devasted as well. I'm very quickly losing patience, with Tom. Everything is suggesting his body just can't take it.

Poor bloke, I wonder whats in store for his future? Seems everytime he makes some sort of progression, it just collapses into an injury riddled heap.

And playing Tiller or Everitt in Morris's place? That sounds 'promising'.

Soft tissue injurys happen because the muscle is over cooked/worked. Obviously Tom had no pre season so was already behind the 8 ball and his repeated attempts to 'catch up' with the others in terms of fitness has seen him repeatedly injure himself.

With a solid pre season he can build a fitness base and that should see his soft tissue injurys decrease.

Dont all lose faith.

Saw this thread and hoped to god it was an old one

That sucks so bad..poor bloke, and our poor backline!

Oh dear :( Well if ever we've needed our mids to play a tight contested game it's now. We simply must take pressure off our backline by blocking up the middle of the ground. With all due respect to Tommy, we haven't really had him all year so we have been pinning our hopes on a guy who has hardly played any senior games in his career let alone this year.

Terrible run of luck for the kid. Hope he turns it around.

Wisdom beyond your tender years, borgy. Very well said.

If we are to get over Hawthorn in 2 weeks time it would have to be a team win worthy of a grand final.

We had him for the Hawthorn game. That's the only one that counts now. We are in deep trouble unless Everitt can perform a gigantic mental turnaround. Can't see Tiller or White doing it. The planners are not liking this.

Well like I said, it's up to the mids to put defensive pressure on to stop the clean supply to the Hawks forwards. People have written us off this year and I for one am glad of it. Much more pressure on Hawthorn than us. We've achieved a hell of a lot this year. Win, lose or draw I just hope we give a proud account of ourselves in September.

What was the grade of the tear? If Grade 1 = 2-3 weeks. Grade 2 = 4 to 6 weeks. Grade 3 (ala Matty Lloyd) big trouble!

Well the bright side is last time Franklin kicked 5 straight so to equal that effort would need about 8-12 shots

Downside is that Morris can't destroy a small forward now

To be assessed to see how serious.

Surely Wight has to come into the side as backup in case Morris gets his arse handed back to him?

Terrible news.

This will make our win in the first week of the finals all the more sweeter.
