A quick story on decorating etc during finals.

In 1977, we played Geelong in an elimination final out at VFL Park, which was a long way to go from Sunshine. Those days I lived out in West Sunshine. Anyway, six of us were to meet at a mates place in Yarraville and he was going to drive us. When we got to his place, he had covered his car entirely with red white and blue crepe paper, plus he had a flag flying. At the time I felt really embarrassed sitting in the car, especially on the way home as we lost the match:o

Looking back it was a real laugh.

I married a Kiwi who has absolutely zero interest in footy.

The day of the 97 prelim she checked the scores at 3/4 time and assumed we'd win.

I came home to find the house decorated in red, white and blue. It's fair to say she didn't get the response she expected.

We were like the Silver Ferns and "capitulated".

When we came home my Dad and Uncle found a bottle of Scotch waiting for them.

Fair to say my mum and aunt got the response they expected.

Worst day in my football life, by far. The only semi-redeeming thing was a loud mouthed Adelaide knob (one of the worst i've seen) being smacked in the mouth for putting his face and yelling in the face of a well-drilled boxer/supporter (who happened to not even follow th dogs). Lesson for that day, when you win, win graciously...

We need to see pics!

Go down to lombards "the paper people" shop and buy a giant wb flag. It's like the size of the wall (well almost), that will add to the decorations I'm sure.

I think the dogs are giving away free packs to decorate your house.

I think the dogs are giving away free packs to decorate your house.

Actually $10 each Aker plus $10 postage or you can pick them up yourself and save on postage. I've ordered 2 yesterday.......paid the postage as travelling from Mt.Waverley to Footscray wasn't possible this week.

Loved your decorations too Woofgirl!:)

My desk and the wall behind me is always decked out. Pics of players, scarf and hat, posters.

No doubt where I sit.

Just look for the dogs stuff and that is me.

Mine is too - but I've revved it up for the finals much to my (Richmond supporting) boss' chagrin. I keep telling him he's just jealous and muttering something about 9th :D

Funny about that I work on the railways in signal boxes so dotted all around victoria there are lockers covered in bulldogs stickers I only know of one that was redecorated so my old lockers are easy to find
