EVERYONE has a soft spot for the Western Bulldogs. The battlers from out west have occasionally been near enough but never good enough. At least not since 1954 when Charlie Sutton and Ted Whitten led them to their only premiership.

Smorgo is right. It's time to start winning

Griffen- Juddlike according to Robert Walls. I'd take that (if it was West Coast Judd)

I don't like this media attention, let's go through the season quietly.

I love the premature nature of it all too...which invariably sets us up for an equally public fall, if and when.

Expectations should be high, at least internally, but flag talk in APRIL?

We are ripe for it and everybody knows it. When Walls jumps on there's no hiding. We played in a preliminary final last year, a final we could have won. If this club is to evolve it needs to consistently reach the heights of 2008. If that consistency is apparent there is no reason that we should be short odds for the flag for this season and next. We need to take the next step and that next step is to play in a Grand Final. We can do it and you never know what happens on Grand Final day, just ask Stuart Dew. Go Dogs, I never put the lid back on after the Tasmania game last season.
