He did it when he kicked that left foot goal. Anyone know why?
Please no comments about it being a mark of respect to Michael Jackson.

I saw that as well but not sure why he did it? At the time of seeing it I wondered whether this is something he has done before, or the first time.

Might it have been blowing on his nails and then polishing them on his chest?

As in "How good am I?"

Pretty good in my opinion.

it looked more like a sentimental gesture to someone

I noticed it as well when watching back the replay, to me he looked like he kissed the hand and patted the Mission logo.

I was suprised Ch7 didn't make a deal with it, being the commentators or showing a replay of him doing it.

Hmmm i cant really remember but i know it happened in the first 3 quaters cos BigPond video sucks and just stopped playing once it got into about 13-14 minutes in aon the 20 minutes video...but you can select qtr. by qtr. viewing which are all about 5 minutes and not as laggy cos its a smaller video.

Someone i know (no names, no pack drill) was playing in a televised game (in Melbourne, beamed live back into Adelaide) and did a curious hand signal after kicking a goal.

When asked afterwards (in private) what it signified, it was a prearranged sign to his mates that he had picked up the night before....

Robert Walls said tonight after Lindsay did it again, that it was a personal message to his father who is unwell.

Saw it tonight, and listening to Triple M commentators, they said that too...

Having lost my father to leaukemia a little over a month ago, I know exactly what Lindsey is going though and I wish him and his family all the best to have the strength to pull through.
