Congratulations for 200 games at the Doggies

I know another Eagleton thread, but he must be congratulated for achieving this milestone.

No negative posts please, plenty of threads for that.

Muchos Respectos to a guy who almost died on field. Pure gut runner who always comes off the field buggered.

Kudos Bald One

If you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all.... but its hard too!!!!

I hope he has a good game because IMO his last month has been awful,.. please rediscover the form you showed earlier in the season... Intent, intensity and run.

I think it is time for Nathan to justify the faith shown in him by the match committee.

Lets hope he plays well and proves many knockers wrong.

(This is the bit where I struggle to think of nice things to say about Eagleton).

Um. Have a good game, Eagleton! (THIS IS FOR MY SELFISH SAKE, EAGLETON. And you know what, probably yours, too). Hope you actually put in some effort this week, and play like a real player. You know, tackle, run...anything!

Good luck, and I guess I should congratulate you. So er, congrats.

Congratulations EAgle, 200 games is a mighty achievement. I have enjoyed watching you play over the years, you have kicked some fantastic goals on the run which has got the doggie supporters on their feet - giving high fives.

Hopefully you can rediscover your great form in the finals.

A few mistakes but a few goals certainly made up for it on this occasion. Has anyone manned up on him though? Bring on 300 games! :p

Saw him lining up on Josh Drummond who has kicked a few goals!

Credit where it's due. He played well tonight. He did seem to have Drummond at times in the last quarter although hard to tell on blurry internet vision.

Great game by the Eagle.

Those long goals are gold. Ran hard and found space. But most importantly converted when it mattered.

That's what he's got to do more often.

Is it just me, or does he seem to kick those raking goals when I'm watch on the telly, rather than being at the ground? In other words he seems to kick them when we play interstate.

He has kicked MANY of those at the Dome.

Well done Eagle, shut a few of those doubters up, which he needed to do, he is vital to our chances come September, we need a firing Eagle to kick a few crunch goals!

That's a bit harsh, let's be honest Eagle was due a good one, after all, he's had 5 ordinary ones in a row.

I think it's just you... your very presence is putting the bald one off his game...;):p

Fantastic response by Eagle. I was one who thought his time was coming fast to an end, but he looked good tonight.
I was at the game, and his running off the ball was at the required level tonight, and his finishing was strong.

Well well well where the hell have you been for the last 6 weeks. I thought he was fantastic tonight i cant even remember him making a mistake all night. When he plays like that you start to remember how important he can be to the team. I just hope he keeps it going & the boys get some confidence from that. The catters next week who weren't convincing tonight.

Yep!... and to make things even better I've converted 2 French people who came with us to both AFL and the Dogs.
It was the first game they've seen and loved it. They want to go to the footy every week, and were disappointed when I said the Dogs don't play up here again this year.

On the downside... My marriage is over if ever Liam Picken were to contact my wife. After the game he came over to the fence and slapped her hand and then went and got a cap and brought it over to her... My wife said she's never washing that hand again........

Eagles turned back the clock last night, good on him. Maybe if we have a 'pretend' milestone for him every week he'll keep playng that well! ;)

His two months of form still stands, but last night was some vintage class. Now for another 5 weeks of it Nathan.

He is clearly artillery, not infantry.
He's fantastic when he can use his weapons - gut running & long kicking.

I wouldn't have thought it was harsh at all TCD

The Eagle cops a bit so its only fair he gets a pat on th back when he does well, and only fair that all the baggers cop a pretty harmless dig ;)

One week doesnt make a trend for Eagleton

He was VERY good last night though

His gut running, finding space, carry, those long range goals and his tackling stood out

I found it funny when I think Murpy marked about 65 meters our, Eagle ran past him, got the ball and had a shot from 60 out...it fell short, call it confidence or stupidity, but it was classic Eagle

Hey if we dont have a key forward, we can always rely on Eagle, Aker and Gilbee to bomb a few from beyond the arc...wishful thinking ;-)
