So I have recently moved house and have spent most of the last few weeks without internet and feel somewhat out of the loop.

Have there been any developments with resignings/retirements etc? I read somewhere that Aker for one was supposed to be meeting about his future today?

Also I am guessing most would have been at the Brisbane game but did anyone pick up on Gary Lyons foot in mouth moment on MMM when he announced on air that O'Keefe had won Sydneys B&F thinking it had already happened, when it was in fact being held that night? I thought this would have been a HUGE controversy considering the betting markets etc etc

Welsh has retired.
Wight, Skipper and O'Shea have been told they will be delisted or traded (as if).

Aker will go on, he just has to agree to terms (undoubtably a massive pay cut).

Whether or not Eagleton plays on will depend on what happens trade week.

From all reports and the media conference it was by mutual agreement. 8 years with Williamstown and the Bulldogs still wanted him in a development role.

Three clubs have shown interest in Wight, Richmond, Essendon & North. This is not a rumour.

I'm not at all surprised. There has to be some value in a super-athletic tall who can ruck and play forward and back, brain fades and concrete hands notwithstanding.

I'm disappointed he hasn't been up to scratch for what we've needed for a crack at the flag, but I can see him providing solid service for a rebuilding team.

I just hope we get something for him, anything! I would even take Jay Schultz as a straight swap.

No need for any list cloggers, a swap of late picks will be the go.

I'm going to have to work out a way of penalising anyone who quotes Garry Lyon expressions. Bulldogtragic has had a few misdemeanors of late :)

Maybe Lyon "borrowed" them from Bulldogtragic?
