Simply fantastic news!!!

Well done to all those involved in getting the deals done.

So bloody relieved that Lake has signed, I was seriously worried that he might leave and be my most hated player of all time.

Now the club can concentrate on making a serious tilt on a second premiership:cool:

THE WESTERN Bulldogs' search for a key forward has ended with former Swan Barry Hall given a two-year deal with the club from 2010.

The much talked about trade was a little while in coming but was completed on Tuesday morning, with the Bulldogs acquiescing to the Swans' demand for a third-round draft pick.

The clubs will also swap two later draft picks as part of the deal, with details to be confirmed later in the exchange period.

Sorry, I got caught up in the whole press conference thing and the talk all over the boards was that Lake had resigned, I guess it's not the case:(

Hall was always going to happen, I'm far more worried about Lake.

Teh HUN has reported the club want a response in 48 hours from Brian.
I suspect they will then use him as a trade if he wants to leave.

SAVE THE LAKE!

Ok, Prophet of Doom time now.

Brian if you leave, its the manner in which you left, do you honestly want to give the club NOTHING for everything they have done for you?

A 48 Hour deadline leaves all of 1.5 trading days to ship you off elsewhere, or you are playing for the demons for the rest of your life.

Think about it Brian.

</RANT>

So lets say hypothetically, Brian says "stick it up your jumper", who do we trade him for?

Will resign, don't worry.

Good news that the deal has been worked out, although I guess we should still await until official lodgment with the AFL.

Lake is the crucial piece of the puzzle, and if that falls into place before the end of the week, I think we can be pretty happy with how trade week went.

Interesting that the club has now given him a deadline and appears willing to trade him if he is not prepared to agree to a new deal. To me, this perhaps suggests that the club isn't overly confident of Lake re-signing, and as such wants to ensure it can get some value for him rather than just lose him in the ND or PSD as threatened.

It has? I am yet to hear anything about this.

When is the deadline?

For those interested if you watch the Barry Hall press conference with Rocket you will get a sneek preview of the new kooga polo's the players and coaching staff will wear. Looks ok from first glances.
