Great prospect indeed

Good to see he got the nomination. Hopefully it will inspire him to greater feats in the weeks to come. Once he has the defensive skills to match his attacking attributes, he'll be very dangerous and important. Only question mark I have over him, is his leg speed when he doesn't have the ball. I think he needs one more good pre-season through his legs before we start to see what he is really going to be like....but no doubt looks like he could be a star.

Its so easy to forget that this kid is only 20 years old and hasn't even notched up 15 games yet. His skill and poise when he has the pill in his hand is truly remarkable for any player, let alone one with his experience, or lack thereof.

How he managed to sneak through to pick 11 is beyond me. I suppose hindsight is a wonderful thing, however.

And how we picked Walsh at 4 is beyond me too.

Funny old thing, the draft.

DR, you a little harsh on Walsh considering he had a broken leg, broken finger, and then a complete knee reco and also currently hammy.

He has just turned 22 years old and I believe still has an opportunity to prove himself. If he can get an injury free run then we can see what he is made of. I still think it was the right decsion to draft him, there aren't too many out there at 196cm.

I am pretty sure he was only just eligible to be drafted when we took him so really he is a year ahead of some of the other young guys in the comp.

Yes he only just qualified for that years draft

Infact he was still eligible to play in the under 18's comp last year...

Its a credit to him and the club - when you read the article about him pre being drafted he seems very level headed

I like that Rocket is coaching him about defensive efforts

The sooner these young guys turn into absolute guns of the competition the sooner we will win a flag. I am not saying we should be unrealistic but its the reality of how I see it
