Nice article from The Age which makes a reference to Johno along with Federer, Andrew Gaze and even Phar Lap.

Here are the five sportsmen — or equine immortals — least likely to find their way into trashy tabloids because of off-field indiscretions. Of course, Tiger Woods may have been in this list a while ago . . .

They couldn't think of a 5th person?

The Phar Lap bit is stupid and lame.

Haha Brad Johnson has a son, Jack Johnson.

I like it..

Father Son Selection 2020 - #49 Jack Johnson - Western Bulldog fans have been sitting, waiting, wishing to hear that one for years!

What are you talking about "waiting and wishing"?

Johnno will still be getting three year contracts in 2020!:D

Agree, it was a serious article and then it just went silly at the end.

It wasn't a serious article. Just look at the title.

Whatever:rolleyes:

"unofficial statistics show that he leads the competition in goal-hugging"
Don't know how you can interpret that as serious.

It was a hard one to read. As you say, it started off on a serious note but then just lost it's way.

This is a pretty deep discussion over what's effectively a feel good puff piece!

FWIW, here's what I took from it:
Roger Federer hasn't always been squeaky clean. He was a sooky, tantrum throwing brat. But he has matured and become a champion, on and off the court. And I'm willing to forgive his adolescent churlishness, because he was just that; an adolescent.
Johnno: the article should have read "Known as the ''smiling assassin'' because of the constant grin on his face and ability to put teams to the sword , Johnson is the captain and games record-holder of the Western Bulldogs"

Though I did love the goal hugging comment. Very funny.

The Phar Lap reference was stupid. It was a horse.
