R5 - Western Bulldogs vs Adelaide

There are two awards that you can vote on, once the game is completed.

Voting closes each Tuesday at 8.00pm.

The first one is for the Joe Marmo Medal for the best players on the ground.

There are 4 votes allocated and it's a 4 for the best and of course 3, 2 and 1.

The second award is for the Ron James Medal for the best 2 pups on the ground.

2 Votes allocated - 2 being for the best pup and 1 for the runner-up
Remember the cut off age for a pup is 22 as at the 1st of January, 2010.

4. Griffen - has strung some very good performances together, good to see his game rising toward a higher level. It causes a great deal of headaches for the opposition coach when we have both Cooney and Griffen playing at their best.
3. Giansiracusa - rose to the challenge given to him to take Boyds role. went hard at the ball, did not get knocked off the ball, and was fantastic especially in the first half. Great response to a slow start to the year.
2. Johnno- given the lack of match fitness, it was a leaders performance he displayed.
1. Hall - great defensive forward pressure, strong marking and 5 goals continuing his good form to date.

2. Harbrow - his run from defense, attack on the ball and the man was first rate and his disposal was great often whilst under pressure
1. Higgins - lifted his defensive pressure work this week, and was effective his disposal effectiveness was superb

I am just amazed at people giving votes to Roughy. He was very promising, but it is a BEST player award not a promising player award.

If we only had 10 players perform better than Roughy we would be calling for a lot of heads.
Truth is Roughy would have been in the bottom 6 on performance for a fair assessment, but I also loved what he showed.
