I understand that this is a replacement game and you can use your home game membership for entry.

However does this disqualify the use of the membership for one of the away home games?

I have my AFL membership which gives me access in any case, so I can have a walkup to the Southern Stand.

As I will be attending by myself I actually have a spare ticket.

If anyone is interested in attending with me send a PM and we can meet before the game.

Where did you hear that it is a replacement game? This is the infor under Faq's on Bulldogs website

Q: What are the Replacement Games?

A: Replacement Games.

If you are unable to attend our two home games at Marrara (Darwin) or Manuka (Canberra), your membership card will entitle you to enter two 'away' games in Victoria which have been selected as 'Replacement Games'.

The two games scheduled as 'replacement games' for 2010 are:

Rd 9: North Melbourne v Western Bulldogs on Saturday 22nd May at Etihad Stadium at 2.10pm.
Rd 14: Hawthorn v Western Bulldogs on Friday 2nd July at the MCG at 7.40pm.

At these two games, your Western Bulldogs membership card can be used to gain general admission access only (subject to capacity). (Note: reserved seat holders will not have access to a reserved seat area for these games as they are ‘away’ games).

Note: Western Bulldogs members can use their membership cards to access our Darwin and Canberra home games as normal.

That's what I thought when I read the OP gsxr03.

I think our replacement games have typically been against Melbourne and North Melbourne, so I wouldn't be surprised if a number of supporters assume that this Friday is a replacement game.

Yes think this one may confuse a few as someone at work mentioned it today also.

I'm coming down to Melbourne with a mate on Friday and heading to the G. Purchased a couple of seats today for $35 each. There wasn't much available so there should be a few at the game.

If you are a VRC member, you can purchase level 1 and 4 in the MCC members for this game.

N29 for General Admin looks alright - I understand the Ponsford facilities are pretty good since the rebuild

If I was going I'd just rock up, buy a general admission ticket & sit in the Ponsford Stand. Nicer facilities & there tend to be more Bulldogs supporters sitting there too. :)

Yeah, there is something nice about going to the footy in terrible weather. At the same time, it's nice sitting on the couch with a heater on. :D

So can I just rock up to the game early, but a GA ticket and walk in and find a seat?

On another note, since when has level 1 and 2 been GA? Or is it cos its at the G and prob wont be a huge crowd and they want it to look full? And how packed do you think the level 1 and level 2 GA seats will get filled?

Level two are usually reserved seating.

I managed to pull centre wing tickets on level 2 (n20) at the last minute for $30 through an event seller I have got tickets off in the past.

I am pretty keen to spend some time sitting behind the goals amongst the cheersquad so hoping I can pull up a spare spot, does anyone know if you can just walk into this area or if they check tickets?

N20 is in the AFL members area, so you will have to crossover at M28 in to the Ponsford stand. Once you are in there, it is open slather.

Compared to Etihad, yeh. I'd say I've experienced a worse day at Skilled Stadium and Optus Oval/Princes Park though.

Agreed, I hate having to push (I'm in a wheelchair) from Richmond Station, along the looooooooong pathway into the ground. Actually, I just hate rain. :)

I couldn't believe that there were actually 49,000 at this game. The MCG makes it look like about 20,000.

Oh and for some silly reason I left the comfort and shelter of my centre wing Level 2 seats to sit behind the goals with the cheer squad in the second quarter and have to say a big THUMBS DOWN to the lady in the cheersquad that told a Bulldogs fan he couldn't sit in the bay directly behind the goals with the cheersquad because they were "reserved for cheersquad".

I would understand this rule in a sellout but there were millions of free seats and it was pouring with rain! She made the bloke sit in the next bay. I on the other hand ignored her and went and sat there anyway.

Sorry to nitpick, but there were 45,444...:)
