Is it just me or does anyone else just LOVE the Hall of Fame guernsey? I think I'll be putting in an order. :)

(Apologies if the image isn't big enough - I'm not really computer savvy).

I'm not a fan, it's looks a little tacky to me. Give me the pre1970's guernsey any day.

Following on from the magnificent, TSHIRTs, Caps and Scarf, the Club should have got one of the WOOF designers to put it together:D

I think the logo should have been bigger. It's also not very imaginative. They could have perhaps used the 1954-style stripes?

^^^

Off topic slightly - would that work as a clash jumper against Carlton/Freo/Melbourne?

Don't mind the hall of fame guernsey - all time fave is the 50's jumper, but the 70/80's goes ok

I'd love to see something really different. Maybe a ghosted image of the best player to wear that number on the flank. That way every guernsey would be different, and absolute collectors items (only one made).

Who would you pick though?

(I can only do the numbers I have actually seen great players play in, or ones I tleast have knowledge of)

5. Rohan Smith
7. Scott West or Doug Hawkins
15. Scott Wynd
16. Matthew Croft
17. Adam Cooney (wearing himself)
18. Trent Bartlett or alternatively Simon Beasley
36. Jose Romero?
38. Dale Morris
42. Matthew Boyd

It is one of those designs that looks good up close but will look like something has spilled on the middle of it when used in a game.

The emblem needs to be either:

1/. Bigger and with less detail.
2/. Taken away.

It will look good hanging on a wall though which I guess is kind of the point.

I agree a bigger emblem would look great

I couldn't help notice the Motto on the Hall of Fame logo recently, 'Cede Nullis' (Yield to None). Is this an old motto of the club along the lines of St Kilda's 'Fortius Quo Fidelius'? Any club historians out there?

How about this alternative, larger Footscray logo, with a white outline to stand out:

If I see one more kid wearing jeans, boots a beanie and NO SHIRT, I am STOPPING the car.

(I think the white jumper is in the same category - and seeing how great the blue based jumper with red and white stripes looks just makes me madder and madder.).

Yep! Supa did wear #27. Geischen wore #27 in the early 70's I think. He and Colin Dell used to go to my Mum & Dads for Sunday lunch every now & then, IF ONLY we'd known then he'd be Boss of umps   :D

I think at that size it hangs too low below the red and white band.

I was thinking it'd look ok if the band separated and the original smaller sized logo in the gap, if you follow me.

I saw someone wearing this last night - from my brief glance I believe the FFC logo used on last night's jumper has been used on the reverse side.

I had a look last night, they were too short and $30, so didn't get one. Had a proper look later in the night and saw they had both Western Bulldogs & Footscrfay on them and the old logo (Bulldog as per jumper) and the current logo. So I brought one, still too short but great keepsake.
