A somewhat strange selection not to try Liam Jones to gain experience as a key forward in the absence of Barry Hall. His good recent form with Williamstown suggests he earned selection with an eye to the future.

Darwin isn't great conditions for a young key forward, if it was at Etihad I'm told he would probably have played.

That was quick!

No surprises there really. It's been mentioned on several articles that these 2 would be the likely inclusions.

I'm assuming they are already over there by now. Am I right?

Huh?

Is Moles or Everitt in?

Seen on the forums it's been Moles, above Everitt and on CH10 news it was Everitt.

Official team has Everitt in.

It looks like Greystache has been fed some incorrect information (or perhaps his info. is correct and there will be a late change)

They don't normally do that, do they? Name a new player, then take him out again? Is it worth playing funny buggers against Port?

Good to see Doc in the side, even if it is somewhat out of position - would much prefer him on a wing and a lack of Eagleton.

Really hope he can keep his spot, because he wasn't doing alot wrong before his injury.

Johno is a goal kicker, bringing Moles in would a stupid move in my opinion. If you take a goal kicker out of the team, at least bring someone in who is a goal kicking forward.

Agree on Dre, great to see him back.

Gee with the Lake speculation and only one emergency flown over makes me feel a little nervous.

It is probably worth remembering/acknowledging that Moles was about the only bloke, out of the 50 or so that played, that had clean hands in the Nab cup game at Canberra (you know, the one that had the monsoon).

Darwin is greasier than a Greek lamb chop. That's gotta count for something.

Surprise, surprise but I love the move. The part time option really suits Darwin and I really doubt how Roughead would have handled the conditions.

I am worried about burning out Hudson as well but Trengove is hardly the most imposing of 2nd rucks and I would give Dre and possibly Williams as much time in the ruck as Roughead would have been given away (about 30-35% TOG).

As much as I am a lover of the part timer I would definitely bring in Minson or Roughead to support Hudson against Sandi.

Also happy with the move.

I guess Williams and maybe even Everitt will pinch hit in the ruck when needed.

What the? Surely Shavshenko (Everitt) will start there

Most recent weather update from Darwin has it as 28C and 62% humidity so I'm not at all surprised that we've gone this way, especially with Port having an inexperienced second ruck and only two real tall forwards.

Small HF line

Moles is CHF on paper only. Seems a logistical work with Dre (original CHF), Roughead and Moles all swapping over spots from Thursday night selection.

Last time we played them in Darwin, Shaggy smashed Westhoff. With Williams and Dre (when he isn't in the ruck) offering KP defensive cover, I would expect to see Lake in our forward line at times. Sure our forward line looks ordinary, but their backline, midfield and forward line are as well.

I see Dre starting on bench and sharing his TOG between relieving Hudson in the ruck and around the ground.

My tip is that Lake will start forward.

Interesting last minute change, obviously wanted a slighty more mobile tall option in the conditions and brought in Everitt, Moles was always playing.

Yea fair enough Rocco, 4 weeks ago I was calling for Everitt to play, then changed my mind watching him play for Willi, now I just want him to play forward and show Rocket what he has got.
