I feel like sitting in my lounge room watching Iron Chef, but I'll most likely be sitting on level 3 of the AFL members. No need to book a seat this week.

G-Mo77, the only way I got M section was by specifically selecting Prime seating. Choosing Premium seating kept throwing section N at me. Can't remember the exact section I'm in but I know it is in the Ponsford Stand, Row V. I'd like to know how people get seats closer to the front

That's what I'd like to know as well. Best I could do was row S last week. I've been trying all morning and I think the best was row V and that was Prime I believe.

I might just ring them and demand a seat closer that has worked before. Ironically I think it was the 2008 Final against Sydney when I did that.

That's either the last or second last row before standing room - if it does rain, you'll be loving it (and good access to the bar :) ...and also good for a QE if we stink again :()

After Ticketek did such a good job last week, I knew it was too good to be true.

Last week, purchased family tickets online, no worries.

This week, go online and it does not give me the option. I check the AFL website to make sure I haven't missed something, but no, it says you can buy family tickets in Standard or Prime.

Go back to ticketek website a check there, and it has the details for how to purchase family tickets, but still not giving me the option.

Try to ring ticketek and they are engaged. Go back to website and surprise, surprise, it now says you can not purchase family tickets online, you have to do it at an outlet or over the phone.

How could they **** this up. One week you can purchase them online, the next week, without any notice until 15 minutes after the tickets go on sale, you can't.

Me too.

Finding it really hard to get motivated.... I guess as the week moves on I will, but if the game was to be played tomorrow it would be a battle to find the will to attend.

As I left the ground on Saturday night I said that I was not going this week. I was so embarassed by our clubs effort.

I relaxed a little yesterday and decided that it will probably be Johnno's last game so I best make the effort to go.

I am not too keen to watch a half fit Johnno running around having no impact and being made fun of by the crowd (and the opposition)

He is too good to be remembered this way, but unfortunately it could well be our lasting memory.

I was able to get some M section seats by selecting the Olympic stand. M50 which is on the flank. Can't get any closer than Y though.

If I can ever get something other than the engaged signal when calling them I'll try for better but I may just take some in that M50 section. I'm just sick and tired of this shit!

OK finally got through on the phone. Had a major whinge about ticket allocation and finally ended up with M51 - C.

I suggest others who want to sit a little closer do the same. It's pathetic the way they allocate seats.

Yeah I was in M3 Saturday so its not too far around from there. Not a fan of the QE though, hate it, traffic or not traffic you've stayed for 3 quarters, support them in the last

Good work there - I agree, 'First in best dressed' should count.

I said something like Club Members get the worst while the general public get the rest. He really couldn't explain why I couldn't get a seat any closer. He first tried to tell me that A - P sold out which my response was I was trying at 9am and there would be lucky to be $45K there. He then got me seats in Row C.

Fair enough - FWIW I stayed until about 5 minutes to go, and then had to wait at Jolimont for about 15 minutes anyway.

I don't normally drink before or during the game, but this week I'm thinking I'll meet some mates at the pub for a few beforehand.

No trouble booking - Row A Seat 1 - the wife let me have the front row recliner - will have to walk all the way to the kitchen for the COLD Beam & Coke, and the HOT pies.

Will be at the MCG the following week - after beating Sydney.

They sell crap first so when the people who weren't sure if they wanted to go or not and check to see what seat they can get they see row a,b,c,d they will most likely buy a ticket. If they see row s,t,u they won't buy it.

Got tickets in N27 from an event seller that I often use. Cheaper than through Ticketek but usually have to put up with being outnumbered in the AFL members (though I am guessing won't be the case on Saturday).

I'll be sitting on a bus from Cairns to Port Douglas (listening on the radio, yelling and disturbing the rest of the passengers at seemingly random intervals), and then hopefully I'll make it in time to watch the remainder of it in a pub by the beach.

I didn't plan my holiday too well!

I made sure it missed the first week of finals and the third week of finals, was I a bit too optimistic perhaps...?

Getting blind in the Emirates Room. My uncle got two tickets, three course meal and unlimited alcohol through Flight Centre. Emirates allocate tickets to Flight Centre managers. Should be good.
