What position to people see Pat playing?

Predominantly as a small forward?

Welcome Pat and good luck on your long career at the Whitten Oval:).

I hope he can hold down a small forward position.

Yep, small forward.

He was highly rated as an under 18, let's hope we can get the best out of him.

Small forward position definately available, hopefully he remembers how to crumb off Bazza

Good luck to Pat and may we see many, many goals from him, especially crumbing to BBB.

Vez will play as a small forward/half forward with an emphasis more on skills and delivery rather than crumbing. Would be well advised to shadow Gia over the preseason, similar sort of players except Gia has the motor to play midfield and is one of the best trainers at the club.

Debut 2008

Became an instant fans’ favourite after making his debut late in 2008 and kicked four goals in one of his six matches. However, he struggled with injuries in 2009 after having a finger operation pre-season. The former Northern Knight, who kicked eight goals in a TAC Cup final, has pace, skills and great goal sense and, although he originally looked like developing into a powerful small forward, he might be used more often in defence.

Brownlow Medal: career votes 2.

Draft history: 2007 NAB AFL Draft 1st round selection (Sydney) No. 11 overall.

Could that be his future with us?

I heard he doesn't come across particularly well in the book- Anyone have any quotes?

We lack players with ground level goal sense, so the forward line for sure.

Depends on how you read the book (IMHO the best AFL book bar none)

I thought he came across as a wanka, a mate who read the book felt really sorry for him and wished him nothing but the best.

May have to read it again now!

I remember he played against us in the first semi against Sydney in what must of been his first year. He seemed a pretty good player, hopefully he has a good career with the dogs

I wonder if Barry was quizzed about him.

This guy had a lovely long kick in the juniors. I wonder if he's envisioned to be a swingman who can play both forward and back? If Djerrkura also comes over it'll be interesting to see how they'll both be used, with Hooper's development in mind as well.

Good Luck to the guy. Definitely interested to see how he plays, I haven't seen much of him at all. His bio reads pretty well though, sounds like a move back home is what he needs too.

Anyone got a video of him playing in the U18s?

Cheers Glove.

Good vids - plenty to like if he can bring that across.

Thanks for the clips. Kinda disappointed based purely on the clip. Looks a poor decision maker and plays 'selfish'. On the plus side, he looks quick with neat skills. Eade and Vez have some work to do before he is ready to challenge for a spot

He's clearly a beautiful long kick but I'd like to see what he's like under more pressure - most of the kicks shown he wasn't under much pressure, but then again that was largely because of his ability to find space with the ball. Does look very good with the ball, and also looks like the sort of player who will enjoy playing a role of importance within the team, instead of just becoming another cog. Likes to celebrate a good goal!

he has to be a small forward, but can see him play as a Young Brad johnson type of game and push for small bursts in the midfield.

The world is your oyster young Vesper - what do you want to make of it.

Welcome aboard.

Emma Quayle says he's an A grade kick, hopefully his workrate improves.

Certainly resembles Hodge's run and carry style.

The boy can kick

I think he has a poor drop of the footy and whilst he can thump it long, its still a kick that I think could improve.

Definitely agree with that, ball drop is a bit loose and thus it would be interesting to see his kicking under pressure - I doubt it would be any good.
