Jumping-jack recruit Zephaniah Skinner was practising his giant leap
while enjoying the scenic backdrop of Queenstown's nearby mountain range.

IT MAY be the adventure capital of the world, but for the Western Bulldogs it has been far from your average Queenstown holiday.

Yes, there's been jet boating, the odd bungee jump, a couple of skydives and renditions of the haka.

But they have been brief exploits during the Dogs' arduous seven-day development and education program on New Zealand's South Island.

The players were welcomed on Monday with a seven-hour hike through remote terrain atop the snow-covered Remarkables mountain range.

When I saw that photo this morning in the HS I immediately thought of REM's song (I am) Superman.

Seeing the guys doing the Haka was cool too - especially Rocket and Smorgo. As for Bazza, can't wait until we play the Roos and he does the Haka at Scott Thompson.
