Might be playing water polo by the sounds of it.

Will the school visits be limited to just the primary schools?

DaDruid - any luck with the club yesterday? Want to support what you are planning and hope that the club doesn't drag it's feet on this one!

Was at whitten for 4and 1/2 hours today hoping to see Anna in events or get call from her. Call came at 5pm. Updated her on media and bid commitments. She says that she could not not make that decision and would get back to me soon.

Wish I could say more but.....

The Mohawk Charity Auction Proposal is now officially not going to be part of any Bulldog function. Not East Meets West, not Horsham Community Camp, not the Whitten Oval Family Day and not the Season Launch.

The reason given is that as if the club did hold the auction as part of one of the Bulldogs events, it would set a precedent and the club would then have to pander to every approach made by individuals.

As much as this is a great blow to me personallly, I will not be deterred. I will put some thought to this and come up with a new concept. As I have said in previous posts, the big mohawk and collar/leads are not part of my attire this year so I will pursue other possibilities.

I also have to return an envelope stuffed with $1000 to an associate (who wishes to remain anonymous) who wanted to bid but could not make Saturday if the auction went ahead at East Meets West. That's how keen he was to own a piece of memorabilia that is truly one-off.

May I say that I do understand the club's position and accept it with grace. I ask you all to do the same. So, please folks no vitriol towards the club or the staff involved. I will think of something. I always do.

I have gotta say mate, your ability to dust yourself off and move on is quite remarkable especially given all that you are going through. On the latter point it amazes me that you still find the will and energy to help others when you clearly have plenty on your plate. You are a legend.

As you say I don't think spurting vitriol will be at all beneficial but it seems that you have already put in a lot of time and effort and it it would have been an excellent fundraiser and PR stunt for the club so I think it really is an opportunity missed. Personally I am also very disapointed for you and hope that you can get some worthy replacement off the ground.
