Where is the irony TCD?. That it is St Patricks day today does not make Rocket's appointment as IRL coach ironic.

Maybe in Alanis Morrissette's mind it does :)

With Rocket as the International Rules coach, would that help deflect attention if he happened to leave at the end of the year?

I think you're digging a bit too deep on this one, I can't see Eade giving the whole concept much thought until after the season ends. At the end of the day he is smart enough to know that coaching an AFL side is his livelihood and this is simply a novelty on the side, I'm sure 100% of his focus will be on the dogs first and foremost.

Good for Rocket, but it could be the Australian Men's Volleyball team for all I care. At least that's an actual sport.
