About time we played them at the MCG (Home and Away). Should be a massive crowd and a big win for us:)

Your membership ticket will get you into both games.... At least it has in the past.

The club has made a point of stating that if you attend Round 6 game at G, your membership ticket won't get you in to round 7 game at Canberra.

As you say, it hasn't stopped you in the past, maybe they have updated their system to cope with it.

Great Question

I don't know - just googled and found the below, though it doesn't include away games - which I (we all would) know that we've had bigger crowds at the G at an away game. Round 22 1998 had 60K I believe, though surely we've had a bigger H&A crowd than that???

Record Home Attendances:

1. Western Oval - 42,354 in round 12 1955: Footscray 5.13 (43); Collingwood 5.7 (37)
2. Docklands - 48,728 in round 14 2001: Essendon 24.10 (154); Western Bulldogs 11.10 (76)

2006 Round 9 v Collingwood - 67,920 - their home match (qualifying that year was 84,284)

Last year round one home game v Collingwood - 49,000

2009 home match Rd15 v Collingwood - 51,382 - probably home game record

was a big crowd for a great game, was it for top spot from memory? but neither side had anything really to gain from it apart from bragging rights, one of my fave games of all time despite losing, was just a fantastic game.

Given it is a Sunday & twilight game, it certainly doesn't help to increase the attendant numbers. In our case, we have 2 small kids and myself have to get to work at 5:30am next day wont allow us to go to this game. Bloody AFL fixtures :(

I agree, I can't see why the twilight match couldn't be the WA match for that week? Ideal for TV and a 2.30pm start in Perth fits in. I hate going to twilight matches.

Me too. The only thing worse is Monday night NRL. Unfortunately Melbourne Storm get quite a few of these each year. It is hard getting to the 7pm game in time from work, then even harder getting up for work the next morning. I really hope Monday night football does not become a regular AFL fixture. :(

BTW, why is there a game on tonight?
