Wouldn't normally do this, but with the exception of Dale have gone with the Champion Data SC order. Seemed reasonable through bloodshot eyes.

Votes are pretty much allocated based on how much players appeared to be trying.

4. Dale Morris: Competed well, beat his man for the most part and was probably the most consistent over the match.
3. Liam Jones: Held marks, converted, and considering how little supply he received he was actually alright.
2. Justin Sherman: Faded in and out but was actually dangerous and looked to be creative when he got the footy.
1. Tom Liberatore: Nowhere near as good as in other weeks but was alright and kicked a nice goal. Really struggled to figure out who got this vote.

Sorry can't give anything to Morris, even though he tried his guts out it was an onslaught and he has to take some of the blame.

Sorry can't give anything to Morris, even though he tried his guts out it was an onslaught and he has to take some of the blame.

Why?

How many direct goals were kicked on him vs how many he saved? How can he be blamed for the onslaught, which was a direct result of the differential between our inside 50s and theirs?

Whilst the guys you mentioned tried hard, they were part of a group that gave our defenders absolutely no support.

Interesting that some posters gave votes to Gia (I had him next in line), yet many in other threads are calling for him to be dropped. He certainly polarises opinion, doesn't he?

Bornadog, blame in the sense that he was unfortunate enough to be a a part of an inept backline or that he was a part of an inept leadership group ? I can only assume it wasn't the latter as you've placed Gia and Boyd in your best. Is really scary to think what the margin might've been without Dale busting his gut down back.

Tend to agree with that Doc. The only problem whatsoever with Morris' game was that there wasn't 4 of him so he could pick up Markovic, Williams and Hargrave's man also.

Personally I thought Morris was twice as good as any other player for us.

Gia didn't get many opportunities - but made his opportunities count. He should be in the midfield more often - he used to at least pinch hit there - now he isn't given any time in the guts.

He was pretty slow last year but got away with it in the midfield previously due to his smarts and ability to use the ball.

His leg speed is even worse this year and he may have just lost the polished edge on his ball handling skills, which we saw yesterday with two really uncharacteristic fumbles at critical times early in the game under little pressure.

Although Griffen and Boyd tried hard, no midfielder deserved votes in this game. I don't know how they can look their defenders in the eye with their lack of accountability, inept display at the centre clearances and unwillingness to run defensively.

It's a good point.

Even though Tommy got decimated and lost his man, misread the ball, played like a spaz etc, no defensive group can stand up to 65 clean and unpressured inside 50s.

True but Tommy lost a lot of fans last night. Really made me question his future as a senior player....and I have been a strong supporter of him in the past. Big steps backwards yesterday.

He was horrible (and so was Markovic) but I'm not throwing the baby out with the bath water based on the fact he got no support from his midfielders (who Morris apparently ripped into at 3 qtr time) and he was coming back from an injury lay off. It was like a perfect storm.

He had a solid 2010 and started this year well before getting injured. We have many bigger problems than Tom Williams.

One of my favourite players, but can't give him votes for being part of a backline that was smashed to pieces.

Yet you gave votes to players that were part of a midfield that was obliterated.

I'm not arguing, I just find it a strange justification.
