Heres a great find I just had to share with the WOOF community.

My parents were recently cleaning out my late great Grandfathers shed and they found a very nice piece of Footscray memorabilia.

A 1938 Footscray Football Club souvenir flag. I cant believe the condition of it, it looks like it's only been waved at only one game.

Could I maybe suggest loaning it to the club? They might be interested in putting it on display?

Was watching a 1954 membership the other day on ebay. Went for about 250-260 dollars. Wonder if anyone here bought/sold it.

There's been quite a few memberships of that vintage on there of late.

I have recently spoken to some people at the club (sorry, names escape me right now) about the Bulldog Museum and donating stuff that I have from my childhood.

I have a plastic (rubbery) football that you used to get from the Golden Fleece service stations for 99c signed by the 1985 preliminary team, and an autograph book with similar signatures (plus Doug Hawkins and Simon Beasley stickers all over it from Kraft Cheese.) I also have every membership card from 1983 onwards.

The lovely lady I spoke with told me that she had been inundated with donations, and that she would get back to me in November sometime to get a better description of the items.

She also said that their was no guarantee the these items would go on display, and that she was working to get 'themes' happening through the display (I assumed she meant 70s theme, 80s theme etc).

I am sure that they would be very interested in the OPs nice little souvenir.

My nanna discovered her 1948 membership cleaning out a drawer the other week, and it was signed by Wally Donald. My current plastic swipe card membership is pretty boring by comparison (and you couldn't ever get it signed).
