Agreed, like Whitten and Grant you want to play him in more than one position at any given moment - hasn't reached their exalted status but led from the front in a very hard year to give us his best season when a fair few where questioning whether his body would make it.

Yeah, good job Bob.

Was one of our few shining lights in an otherwise shitty year.

The man is a star. He is IMHO something special. We will be talking about him for years to come.

After a depressing year, today has really made me smile. Well done Bob, our star who is a delight to watch, poetry in motion, and with an inspiring love for the club that he's not too macho to share!

Well done Bobby. He has had a brillant year when the team as a whole have been very poor. Been impressed with his consistentcy this year as we all know how good he can be but consistency wasn't his strongest area. A pleasure to watch you play Bobby.

It should also be mentioned that Matthew Boyd also made the All-Australian team this year.

Glad Boydy made it too. But as I wrote on twitter Murph is too good a player to have never been All Australian.

If there was one player in our team I could clone it'd be Bob. I'd have one forward, one back, and one in the midfield. Absolute star, underrated by the general public too.

So happy for Murphy, really has been a great year for him, relatively injury free made the difference.

I hope he can take out the Sutton Medal

Congratulations Bob, a well-deserved honour. (And Matty Boyd too of course, but I'm more thrilled about Murphy!) About time something good happened this year.

Was so good this year well deserved Bob. His columns in the Age were good too especially his tribute to the Peoples Beard and BBBBB

Truly surprised by the AA panel -- I thought it was a certainty that Murph's performances would go unnoticed.

I guess it's a good thing we have Luke on the AFL list of people who know things now to push our case a bit.

Flippin' amazing year Bobby's had.

Agree, congrats to Bobby Harvey ;)

Really happy for Murph and well deserved for a super consistent season when few in our back half were able to go the distance.

I am enjoying having a chuckle about the Carltank fans ringing SEN and whinging about anything and everything.

Murphy is a way better player than Scotland anyway.

Agreed. If you line the both of them up and have to chose one for your team like in the shcoolyard, it is no choice at all.

I heard that muppet Mark from Bacchus Marsh get on SEN last night and bag the crap out of Murph for being useless. His creativity, run and carry and disposal effectiveness off half back this year gives him the nod over all other challengers. It's bad enough when opposition fans question any honour that comes our way but when it's one of our own so called supporters it's astounding. Murph you have been magnificent all year and thoroughly deserve this honour.

Congratulations to dear Bobby on his AA spot at Half-back. Loved the way he handled the SOS blunder too. Also congrats to Boydy for making the Interchange bench.
