What’s worse, training and VFL somewhere else until round 5 next year, or being the travelling nomads again for a finals series?

Went past today the ground is totally dug up. Bailey Smith wasn’t at training today
Open training earlier today - some points I noted:
- Around 250-300 supporters at the ground which was in pristine condition. Rain mostly held off - just a light sprinkle. The session started on time (9.30 am) and was still going when I left at 11.30 am when players were completing drills in playing positions.
- Bailey Smith and Arthur Jones not present (and Wallis)
- Running boundary were Crozier, Bedendo and Parker (but they did join non contact drills early in the session) and after most of the session complete, Butler also started completing run thrus rather than continue with the contact drills.
- Darcy trained with the forward group when players were split up into potential game positions
- JJ and BONT both trained for the full session and didn't miss a beat
- Personal opinion - Gardner has improved his kicking
- Regular AFL players whom impressed - Treloar, Dunks, Richards, Daniel, Duryea, Hunter, Dale, Marra and Bont
- Non regular players whom impressed - Buku,McLean, Keath and McComb (need to be honest here)
- There was about a 20-25 minute game simulation with black singlets vs orange singlets. The black singlets had all the recent regular AFL players except for Bont, Treloar and Williams who joined the orange brigade. Notable inclusions in the black team were McLean, and Keath plus VDM and Cordy (whom some Woofers believe may be omitted from next week's team).
- The orange team had Bruce and Schache, so I am going out on a limb and suggest at this stage at least, they will not be playing against Freo whereas Keath, Cordy, McLean and VDM are favored to be in. NB - McComb, Scott, JJ, Hannan, Garcia, TOB and West also played for the orange team so also likely not being considered for main team selection (at this stage).
- in the 20-25 min simulation I don't think Schache touched the ball....while Bruce crashed packs but that was all (sound familiar?)
- Bevo held up the start of the match simulation by about 4-5 mins talking exclusively to the Black singlet team.
Teams:
Black singlets - 2, 5, 7, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 19, 20, 21, 23, 31, 33, 35, 37, 42, 43, 44
Orange singlets - 1, 4, 8, 13 ,14, 17, 18, 22, 24, 27, 28, 29, 30, 34, 36, 38, 39, 40, 41
Not playing - 9, 25, 26
Absent - 6, 32
I am sure there would have been other Woofers at the ground who might like to add/subtract from the above.
Excellent summary Smads. I thought about going and decided against it when I thought of navigating city traffic to Pt Mlb so close to morning peak. Much appreciated. Glad to hear Bedendo trained as have not heard anything about him for a while-did not play in last few vfl matches and yet not listed as injured. Really think Bedendo and Cleary have bright afl futures, hopefully with us!
Thanks Smads. Really value your reports.
Gardy's kicking no longer gets me nervy in games. Quite penetrating too.
Can't see Brucey getting making the cut.
I wonder where training will be next week?
